Forum MVP John A Posted November 17, 2013 Forum MVP Report Share Posted November 17, 2013 Did DSO do the intro to Uncle John's that is totally unique to this show? (song opens with "wo-oh what I want to know - how does this song go?" followed by the traditional opening chords)

Brian NJ
Great show. First set build up to a rocking Dancin. The highlight of the show was an exquisite CHINA DOLL!!! I have never heard a better version anywhere anytime!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Forum MVP found Posted November 18, 2013 Author Forum MVP Report Share Posted November 18, 2013 Just to expand... Promised land was a strong opener. Nice one to get back on my feet. Sugaree was stellar. Great solos by Barraco and Mattson. Looks like rain ha some great interplay with Jeff's guitar and Rob and Lisa's vocals. Jeff had a vocal flub at the beginning of loser but followed it up with an amazing solo. Love how he plays around melody and those pinch harmonics. DITS was absolute fire. Couldn't have asked for a better set closer. Estimated And Terrapin were both tremendous. Robs rhythm guitar was spectacular. As was noted earlier, UJB had the unique intro. That's a song that I don't really care about, but I'd be lying if that intro didn't make excited. The outro jam was ridiculous with Jeff firing on all cylinders. And china doll... Absolutely amazing. Just wow. Jeff's vocal delivery. The harmonies. The transition into the bridge. The solo and outro jam. They were all perfect. Werewolves had Jeff do his beast rap at the end. Very fun ending to the show. Palace theatre is a beautiful venue. No security. Easy to find dance space. Definitely recommend going there.
TJed
Looks like a really grate one! Those 6 pre-drums 2nd set songs are sweet, indeed. Statements just seem vain at last.
