Cannot overstate how good this show was. Several times since the inception of these forums I would write how DSO regardless of many issues ( i.e. band member changes for all sorts of reasons) just gets better.

For instance...

I was at Gratefulfest when they broke out ( if you can call a " pick the encore" lottery winner stuffing ballot box a breakout) Positively 4th

completely spontaneously. It was OK and fun but compared to my second DSO performance...forgetta bout it.

Jeff et al shredded that tune and was the highlight for me.

My first Skip show....great decision DSO...they don't keep getting better by accident.

Couple of (my personal) snoozers in the 1st set.

2nd set was great, although Drums could've been trimmed 10 minutes or so. (Give a drummer an inch and he'll bang on it till you take it away)

That Viola Lee blew the roof OFF! (I think they found it 3 blocks over)

And the White Rabbit closer?  Are you kidding me?  Awesome!!

Well done DSO crew!  See ya in Syracuse!

yea Scott, please elaborate on the snoozing

Oh dear... Maybe snoozer was too strong a word.

It was just funny because on the way to the show we were having the usual conversations... What are they gonna play? What do you wanna hear? Followed by, what wouldn't you lose any sleep over if they didn't play it? I named 5 songs, and three of them just so happened to pop up.

Let me put it this way... If a typical GD setlist were a kick ass pizza with my favorite toppings, but three of those slices only had cheese on them.  I'd still enjoy those slices, and call the entire pizza eating experience a raging success.

Capisce?

I am part of the Drum loving crowd:}!!!!!

I love DSO's drum sets:}!!!!    Funny, I normally do a "internal complaint", wishing the drum sets were longer at shows.:}!!!!

I love to dance, but I get raw with drums.   It really is the one part of the show that is "Always" original and energy giving!!!  The songs we hear we know!!  We can sing them blindfolded with our tounges cut out.   Drums however......pure majic:}!!!  Completely new, everytime....at least for me!!!

Never snoozed at a show, but I understand some parts are not as exciting for some as others.

Honestly, after over 25 years, I am now just understanding and enjoying Suplication---LL.  There is room in our hearts for every song.  Its when the person decides to open it up at a certain time or place in your own life will you enjoy some of the tunes you perhaps did not enjoy in the past!!!

Live music soon:}!!!   I am trying to keep my lid on---but its tough knowing I am going to get to spin soon:}!!!!!
