Of course they took us to the promised land! We had mostly been there since Friday! Sad some of our friends didn't make it in, but happy we bought tix way in advance so we could make it into the sold out show! The place was packed by the time they started (very diff than Fri, people musta liked it!) Sugaree was gorgeous and I was floating on sweet notes from Rob B and Jeff the whole song.  Passenger made me realize their game that it was the next night at Winterland and I got excited cause I like this show a lot!  REally great job on the Passenger, all on fire! All I could remember was coming was the Stella, though, so it was all good. I don't really like knowing what is coming until they hint us.

Ramble on Rose (guess I did know a roses would be in 2nd set at this point) was super fun and everyone was really into it.  Gorgeous looks like rain with Lisa cooing like the goddess she is.  Again, Eaton just nailed it!  Stagger Lee was a highlight for me, as it is my fave Jerry solo spot and Jeff never disappoints!  Miracle tore the place down, wholly gosh goodness!

Made it outside for setbreak, which I couldn't manage on Fri and it was nice to chat with people and even make peace with my guy's ex who had hated me for a while (we all met at DSO, of course) so it really had me happy and excited for 2nd set.

Om ah heck YEAH bertha opener.  I had told my buddies the game of it being the next night so we were all stoked to rage through this one.  Bertha good lovin was just amazing in every way, had us all wishing we could stay all night!  AHHHHH ROSES!!!!! Very heartfelt and loving and the whole place gave it right back.  magic in the air!

Estimated was spooky then joyous, very tight and in your face at once, and the shift to he's gone really got us there.  quite exuberant he's gone and my skin hairs stood the whole time cause I could feel and almost see Jerry in everyone and everything in the room the whole song.  channeled!!!  so much so that Jeff dropped the cats on a tin roof line and didn't regain it til nothing left to do but smile smile smile and it was great cause as soon as he dropped (caught up in the moment!) I screamed at the top of my lungs and was answered by resounding screams from around the room and it was one of those moments that by triple smile line we were all grateful for the dropped lines and stoked to be in the moment.

Another killer drums, and the mojo is what I had forgotten to be waiting for but when it kicked in I giggled sooo much!!! SUPER COOL, GUYS!!! WOW!  By Other One Gabe couldn't take it anymore (his toe is still in recovery and there is no were to sit in the fox) and headed out, I almost told him to wait for the stella but I didn't wanna make him stay if he wasn't feeling good (I am still convinced that DSO is so overwhelming energetically and he is such a calm and steady fellow that sometimes it just rattles his bones a little too hard and he has to escape the madness, but he'll learn!) Super amazing other one, another highlight of the weekend.  perfect!

stella.  oh stella.  I knew it was coming even before I knew it was coming.  I haven't gotten a stella while standing alone at a show since that one at the aggie a few years back where I sobbed and sobbed for love lost.  This night, I told myself I wouldn't cry and I made it all the way to Jeff's final solo....

Jeff, when you play the Stella solo like that, I realize that this song called me home to this music when I didn't even know what home was, or what this song was, for that matter.  It was never about a boy, or a girl, it was about all of us finding each other HERE, NOW, as the song cries through the night and rolls us all into one.  I began sobbing and spinning and grinning in this moment of blissful understanding of the moments of so many lives that must occur for us to all be in this precious human form here, today, reminding people that the world is already changed, and we are all already THERE.  Home, that is.  Thank you, DSO, for calling me home, and thank you Jeff, for making sure it stayed home.  Oh Stella.

Sugar mags my dakini song and we all needed it after the heavily swooping Stella.  The crowds was SCREAMING "D-S-O" they wanted more music so bad by the encore.  US Blues had everyone singing along and it was just tooo fun and silly!

Box was really special and Skip passed it on to EVERYONE!!!!  All everyone has been talking about is "Skip, the new bass player" and how awesome he is and all I can say was I KNOW I LOVE IT!!!! Skip, thanks again for helping my fave band finally get the sound I know they were hearing in their heads.  THIS IS IT!

Looking forward to that sweet tour closing original tonight, we have 4 of us in the car and after auspicious circumstances for my friend I mentioned above who has finally seen the light this weekend, we all have tickets so no shut outs tonight!!!!

Everyone at the Fox is so wonderful, what a great venue for a super tiny lil place. Great staff, great people, let's do it again tonight!!!!!
