Goin Down in the 2nd hole of the line up ... that is like have Stan "The Man" Musial in that spot .... bang double in the gap !!

Big Iron in the 5 spot .... Dave Parker in his heyday .... 3 run home run !!

Sing Me Back Home  .... really ... come on ..... like facing Goose Goosage with an 0-2 count ...

it is baseball post season kids ....

I was thinking Unbroken was after Hey Pockey and Before Women Smarter??

And also: Lazy Lightning/Supplication hit before the Terrapin....?

Wow,,

What a ripper.....they got on stage and opened the valve and hosed us down hard all night...

Heard many a comment like "felt like I got my money's worth in the first 3 songs".

First set came off like a second set....buckets of sweat on the floor after those first 3. NEEDED the Mission to help gather breath and smooth out the cleanse....

Absolutely top notch 110% from the whole band all the way through....

Encore:
One More Saturday Night

A few things to say. First: Did you guys know that the floor in the Crystal Ballroom BOUNCES?! Its suspended on some sort of cables, so the whole place is literally bouncing with the music. Haven't experienced something like that before. Second: I have NEVER, in my years of seeing GD-related shows, seen a first-three-song punch in the mouth like what was seen lastnight. I mean, Music Never Stopped, GTRFB, Good Lovin?! Holy cow! And the aforementioned bouncing floor could definitely be felt during this stretch of music. I could've left after the first three songs and been perfectly happy. It was that good. Third: The band didn't take much time to warm up. They were ON from the word "Go"! Fourth: Can we talk for just a second about how GOOD Jeff Mattson is. I mean, forget for just a second that he plays in a band that recreates another band's music, or the fact that he predominantly plays in the style of a man who came before him. Look simply at the man's skill: Its incredible. He's a face-melting, jam-peaking, string-bending, maniacal madman on guitar. I'm so thankful for this music. I'm so thankful that I get to do this, still, in 2013. God Bless the Grateful Dead, and God Bless DSO!

Here's to a scorching night two!

When that floor gets going in the Crystal there is simply NOTHING like it. You'd have to really hate life to be standing on that floor and not dig the music.

So my setlist was a little off...and I forgot two of the main highlights!! Set second on paper looks less interesting than what I experienced last night....go figure....I have a pretty difficult time forming an objective opinion about music....I experienced it as a high octane show, perfectly rockin for a sat night. The shakedown was absurd, just dirty. Drums/space was absolutely and delightfully strange. It's always cool when Unbroken rematerializes out of the void. Skip sounds fantastic both vocally and on bass. There is something about his tone that is warmly reminiscent of Phil....and gelling right in with the band, like he's always been there.

This could be the best version of he band yet, DSO Skip.0

Looking forward to a little more space tonight, dance wise and perhaps musically(that's not up to me though!)

Happy to be on the road :)

A little birdie told me not to miss tonight's show...

Rather enticing to hear a cryptic comment of this nature...

I wouldn't know what's coming down the line (and not wanting to until it shows up), However, I would note that since Seattle we have been rocked and rolled extremely hard and good, but haven't fully been put through the psychedelic ringer all the way yet......hmmmmm

Already feeling well nourished and very open to whatever they dish out for Sunday night dessert

Well George Thorogood once told me that I was funny..

So you got that goin for ya.............which is nice.

Given Mr. Thorogood is amongst your legion of fans, which GT song best describes you:

Bad to the Bone

I Drink Alone

Get a Haircut

You Talk too Much

One Bourbon.....One Scotch,,,,and One Beer

I only hope you don't look like 'em:

Definitely bad to the bone. Ya know, as long as you exclude the parts about being a rebel badass.

Oh and even though I took a small poke at your super power, I hope you know I was just being playful and I appreciate the service you provide when our attendees aren't dishin the goods.

Playful.... Yeah definitely not the rebel badass parts.

to the bone.

No worries JPD > just need to feel importnant from time to time :)

Hope you get to catch some shows when they come back east. BTW > Does your handle suggest you are some kind of post-modern abstract painter or something else?

Nah just around the time I made this I just was thinking the sometimes erratic-spastic-randomness of my full-on-flailing was the dance version of a Jackson Pollock painting.

Now your talking my language! You officially have to post more here.
