Im hoping and praying with 6 weeks off, Rob masters some of the 2013 SBDs.  Has anyone else gone to nugz every day crossing their fingers that it shows new SBDs?

With the disappointment of hearing from Rob last year that they didn't record the Sat/Sun 2012 Jubilee shows because of the stage washout, we need those 3 shows this year.  I'm really dying to hear the 69 elective with that perfect sound again.

I have this bad feeling in my gut that Rob isnt planning to do any more nugs uploads :/.  I hope I am wrong on this.

I think the SBDs arent marketed enough.  Ive signed up like 4x on the DSO email list and have not received any emails.  I think that people would buy SBDs if more knew they were out there.  There is no shame in saying at the end of a show to check our website to buy soundboards from this and other shows.  Maybe use news to announce that SBDs will be coming soon.  Ive done sales all my life and these recordings are way under marketed.  There is a market for these shows.  Look at bands like Panic.  They make a crap load from CD sales.  Their sound quality sucks in comparison to DSO's as Rob spends time mastering these, but everyone buys a CD after those shows.

Marketing plan:

At selected shows, maybe ones that are sold out or high ticket sales, have a booth where people can pre-order the SBD MP3 for maybe 5.00 or a CD for 15.00.  Yes that is way way cheap, but that is the point.  Create awareness of your live shows.  I would guess if you got on stage and announced that people could pre-order the show they were listening to that you would get at least 10% to pre-order that show.  Give them all a seperate code that can be redeemed when the show is ready for upload.  Maybe within 2 months.  Promote the fact that you sell live soundboards.  I know that you cant do all shows as you would need a specific person just handle this and wouldnt be cost effective at 1st.  There are bands now that give you the raw soundboard same night as the show for like 20.00.  Phish gives you a free download code on your ticket.  Of course their ticket prices are much higher and they can afford to do this.  My point is that there are options that are good for both the band and the fans.  Don't be afraid to ask for the sale.  You have this great pulpit every show.  :)
