Great to spend some time with some good friends!  Smiles all around in Raleigh...GRATE show last nite. Amazingly had some room to move - it crowded up a bit in the 2nd set but nothing obscene and not nearly as crowded as I feared.  That'll show me.

A bit of a slow boil during Truckin.  Loser through Jack Straw were very good although not extended as much as I like.  A 13-song 1st set, the Era, and the venues curfew no doubt were responsible.  China>Rider always pleases, a fun Run-Run Rudolph, and a galloping El Paso that was flawless.  Tenn Jed (not my favorite) was my 1st highlight along with Black Peter.  Tennessee Jed had a very good pace and then locked into a great vibe and just jammed.  At the apex, the band broke in for the chorus except Jeff who wanted to go back around for another spin.  That brought some smiles from his mates and they proceeded to join in for the final volley which was crushingly good.  Just love Black Peter – you could hear a pin drop between the crowd trying to sing the song for the band.  Grrrr.  Take it to the shower people – you paid to see the professionals do it!  Anyway > very good 1st set!  God Bless Jim Allard > thick stuff from him all the way through.  Excellent cage-rattling moments.  So freaking happy to hear Lisa work the harp during Next Time you see me.

Very spirited start to the 2nd set with RxR Blues.  MAMU was at hyper-speed if I remember correctly – I felt like I needed wrist bands to wipe my brow since the front of my shirt wasn’t helping.  SWEEEEET Ramble On with the requisite blow-out at the end.

Playin started the launch into a territory that I’m not sure some Raleigh fans were ready for.  With the 1st set being relatively quick rockers, the crowd was thrown off balance from here on out.  That Playin was itself a bit quick, but it snaked along here and there, around the corner, upside down, and back again.  Cryptical > Other One > Bobby McGee > Other One > Wharf Rat……This sequence did what you’d think:  It Destroyed.  This sonic hurricane jumped to a CAT 5 during the Other One courtesy of some Jim Allard bass bombs, and then turned calm and peaceful in the eye during B-McGee, only to have the skies darken and continue the onslaught when the other one returned.  Out of that chaos came what sounded eerily like the Beautiful Jam with some MLB Jam hints before landing expertly in the story of the Wharf Rat.  Surprisingly, a pretty big group dispersed from the floor as I suspect they either didn’t want to hear something that hit close to home or were hoping for standard rocker.  Whatever the case, more room for me to fly away……….

OMSN was next > This was the rocker that the crowd wanted and they got it.  Not my favorite tune but it was one of the best I’ve ever heard DSO do!  Flat-out nailed it – that floor was seriously movin while I was jumpin and a spinnin!  Good UJB although I’ll admit I didn’t lock in until about ½ way through.  I was pretty worked over – knees were screaming.

Blissed out to get my JGB tune to send us on our way.  So Happy…..

Only complaints:  Nitrous Mafia was in full-effect.  Ugh.  I am sad to report that business was booming.  Also > white knuckle driving back home.  TOTAL downpour the whole way with a hail storm to boot.  My reward after that treachery > My…Own…Bed.  ZZZZZZZZZZZZZ.

Thanks DSO and Crew!  You guys are....beyond description!

Tea , how many songs before Google gave it up ???

My experience, it'll find a match with 4-5 songs. I don't do it anymore, love the anticipation. Tea was grinning all through set break knowing what was coming in the second set.

he just checks the main website and copies and pastes...you could do it too.

Isn't it a wonderful service to those of us too lazy to go two websites. I also believe that reduces my carbon footprint. Tea is increasing his so we can reduce ours. Thanks buddy!

Mystique = Gone. My savant-like qualities with setlist origination have been exposed as fraudulent. I'll have to find another claim to fame > thanks for havin my back SC! :)

You provide a quality service my good man. I can check a forum but all that fancy cut and paste mumbo jumbo just confuses this guy. I dont look it up during a show because i like the surprise, but the updates from the shows i miss gets me through the dry spells. Thanks tea and everyone
