I was always partial to silver white winters that melt into spring.... and DSO.... and boys.... AND GIRLS TYVM..... ;)

Well, it IS nicer to have actual boyfriends that go to shows instead of just frowning at stalkers there and online.  If I didn't have a boyfriend, who KNOWS what might happen!  That they haven't been good enough for me so far is not MY fault (hehehehe!) Most guys can't date chics who REALLY REALLY like sex.  Ya'll think you can, but ya can't.  Prudes.  Jealous.  Macho.

It is also important that people have sex that tour DSO (the more the merrier!!!) because if everyone is just going show to show all anxious, less  :) for all.  I have often found that there are some kinda anxious and in some cases angry boys on tour that need that love light turned on.  Like REALLY need it. Who am I to deny?

When I first got into this whole DSO thing, I figured it would be like coming home on a sexual level because it was on EVERY other level and I had always heard all this stuff about "hippies and free love"= what a crock of shit.  did they spread that rumor for a reason? was it all the rape during the summer of love? where did this BOGUS idea EVER come from?!?!

I mean, the southern swingers are less repressed than most people I have met at DSO..... not to say I haven't met some amazingly sexy and fun loving folks, its just I thought there would be MORE of us.......

where's the love?

cause this isn't about meaningless hook ups or getting your rocks of..... this is about TRUE love which just shares and gives and rolls into ONE EVERY TIME :)  it's in the music.... its between our legs.... its fucking awesome!

maybe this current guy will stick around cause he's into it for the same reasons..... a REAL good time ;) we shall see.

KISS KISS

PS: Ducats, I was referring to STS9 and other current trendy electronic groups with the get wasted and play crap shows...., if any of you thought of any OTHER band, that's YOUR bad vibes on your music ;)

honest to the point of recklessness, self centered to the extreme. As long as you blame your partners for the failures of your relationships you are completely missing the point. I don't blame you. I think that your concept that you need more sex than others is out of touch with reality...I think it's Love you are looking for, and in the wrong places. Try on some humility for size, it'll suit you well. It does for everyone.

This thread has gone waaayyy off the rails.....or has it? :)

Anyhoo....

I enjoy other artists although I tend not to swerve too far out of the jamband genre since I love what I love and....you know the rest.  Enjoying other artists is a different ball O wax when trying to compare them to my DSO expereince.

Just like the GD was with me, I have found no other music that connects with me on a spiritual/personal level like THIS music does.  The 1st time I heard it I almost felt like I had always known it.  So freaking wierd

I go to other shows but.......to borrow the train of thought from SVT........other bands vs. DSO is like the difference between great sex and masterbation.  I want to be satisfied ;) when I go see other bands but they don't make me feel alive like DSO does (except maybe Prince but thats another topic for another day).  I TRY not to compare the musical experiences but I'm doomed to use the DSO musical lens for every other show that I go to.  I know I should enjoy something different and I do....but not to the extent that I NEED to.  You guessed it, I am a DSO slut.  They scratch my itch, trip my trigger, so on and so forth.

I need a cold shower.........again

um..... sense of humor much, star child? NOTHING I said was directed towards you and I said "hehehehe" after that comment for a reason.... because I KNOW IT IS ALL MY FAULT that I would rather be happy and have people think of me as a slut, for DSO or otherwise, than pretend that the world isn't one big cosmic orgy of which DSO is the soundtrack.  I think I even lost a chance at a job once cause people thought I was too, um, sexual or whatever..... so I think this is a perfectly appropriate place to say

that DSO has totally spoiled me from accepting any subpar lovers bc the music they move through me is too overwhelming for settling AND has spoiled me from seeing hardly any other music.  i missed out on what ya'll had to start and am just trying to enjoy what we have left.... which is a LOT because DSO IS AWESOME!

seriously, star child, COLD RAIN AND SNOW (every time I hear makes no diff I will always cry over you so stop pretending I would ever talk shit about you on the forums, where you are King Bee.... I'm not stupid.... just loose w the truth)

ain't gonna be treated this ol' way...

and yes, it's your fire.

Let it burn I suppose.

When all ego is shed I love you, and everyone. This is what I attain at shows when they really get me. I think in a sense it's what we all go for- the shedding of preconceived notions of one's self and others to allow us to take in pure love. Emptying of the mind so our beings can experience bliss. Word it however you want but without love in the dream it'll never come true and the ego knows not true love. Be the music. Be Love. Just be. After all, we are human beings, right?

So shake it, Sugaree.

I really enjoy seeing live music.  I try to enjoy myself no matter what, but it certainly helps if the right songs are being played.  I saw Mighty High down by Evergreen Lake yesterday and had a blast.  I think what it really comes down to for me has been alluded to in this thread, expectations.  Mighty High due to their relative obscurity escapes much of my critical eye based on lower expectations coming into their gig.  They certainly exceeded expectations.  Exceeding expectations always leads to a good time.

When it comes to seeing music not touch by Jerry Garcia, it really depends on the act and delivery.  I usually still enjoy myself but I am fairly selective about who and what I will spend my time and money on.  Live music of all sorts feeds the soul, but none of it touches the soul like that of the GD and Jerry Garcia.

On the public relations note, you kids should keep personal matters like that off the boards, if at all possible, in my terrible estimation.  I feel like it got a little too personal there for my forum reading taste, but I also worry my taking note may lead to some more in your face personal material.  Hopefully not.  I hope both of you know that many here love you.  Relationship advice is for the birds.  Its rarely headed.  You have to see loves other face before you know it longevity.  I never found sex to be the ultimate expression of love and in fact in many cases, sex is used to suppress love.  Many here have been in an unhealthy sexual relationship.  I guess for me I mostly found it important to stand on my own two for a little bit and forget about responsibility of caring for someone else.  Until I could take care of myself, I really had no business pretending I could help take care of another.  It appears you 2 may have some unresolved issues at least on one parties end or maybe you 2 we're just bored with the dullness of the days between on the boards.

Either way.  It saddens me no DSO until Winston-Salem, but I know I will find some other music to fill my heart, especially the old past time of listening to the real thing on all that recorded material we are so lucky to have.  Thanks for at least giving me something to do for a minute or two.  Take care of yourselves.

Ducats: YOU, speechless?  NOOOOO way! and if that's the case, I did my job!

Mason's: so when are ya'll gonna have us over for a hot tub party?

this music IS PERSONAL.  I think that I have portrayed that opinion I hold through the content of my posts.  Its never about what ACTUALLY happened at any show, DSO or otherwise, its about what you take away and leave behind in YOUR eyes.  cause YOU are the eyes of the world and all that.....

any other band is just any other band.  ever since I saw DSO for the first time I KNEW I would spend the rest of my life centered around sharing the love I have felt at these shows with everyone who will give me the time.  its not just music.  its life.  its death.  its all of it, beginnings and endings that never begin or end.

and we get the BEST group of folks to chat with on cyber space.  seriously, I love you guys! (and girls.... I miss the girls.....)
