Forum MVP Evangeline Posted May 27, 2013 Forum MVP Report Share Posted May 27, 2013 Wow! Epic somehow falls short--last night was just beyond! An incredible end to an incredible weekend. Beautiful fest, great vibes and music and the DSO set last night just melted my brain. Great to see old friends and meet new ones. The Jubilee is the best fest I have been to in a long time. Long may it run!!

Forum MVP gr8fulpair Posted May 28, 2013 Forum MVP Report Share Posted May 28, 2013 My pre-Jubilee wish for a pre 70's was answered and upgraded to an elective pre-70 that included 2 drummers and Lisa!!! Yes folks, this one moves to the top of my list. A reward worth every ounce of effort. Yes, there was effort - 2nd year in a row with a break-down during travel. Also, 2nd year in a row everything worked out anyway. If you are kind, kindness will come back to you when you need it.

Forum MVP Rude Posted May 28, 2013 Forum MVP Report Share Posted May 28, 2013 I was blown away by Dino on the drum solo during Dark Star. That was a crazy ass beat. It seemed like his high hat was a completely different rhythm than his cymbal work. Was so sick! I sort of got confused as I thought maybe it was a 69 recreation but drums was definitely a more modern drums as I dont think they had that type of technology that Rob K was using back then. And of course Lisa singing nixed the idea of it being a recreation too. Was a sick show!!!! Glad they did the rocking show on the cold night 1 as this was def more spacey than dancy. Forum MVP Tea Posted May 28, 2013 Author Forum MVP Report Share Posted May 28, 2013 I wasn't hiding on purpose - That 1st nite blew my breaker so I was just a little 'off' for the 2nd day and didn't venture from my camp except to see DSO. Even then I still fell asleep on the hill in front of merch row during part of the 2nd set - You know I was fuggin cashed if I am gonna miss anything DSO played. Some dood shook me awake cuz he thought I had OD'ed. While I eventually rallied, I may have earned the new handle 'Delicate Flower' Oh great. JGB was freaking awesome! Late night Mickey was very strange but very good > I've seen him a few times and there was a fraction of the singing this time. There was some strange happenings goin down down and front during this show I also liked the chops from: Werks, Pimps, Marco Benvento, and the Wailers.
