Original Recipe (1 setter as suspected):

Alabama Getaway > Greatest Story Ever Told ; Lazy River Road ; Passenger ; Hey Pocky Way ; Sunrise ; Dear Prudence > Man Smart (Woman Smarter) > Crazy Fingers > The Wheel > If I Had The World To Give > Tangled Up In Blue

Encore: Johnny B. Goode
Notes: Two hour show due to venue time allotment.

Dear Prudence is one of my favorites - just love it.  That closing salvo of Crazy Fingers>Wheel>World to Give>Tangled is a total Jeff-fest!   Wow.

Anyone take this in that might care to report how it went down?

Rest up DSO - you deserve a breather!  I'm setting the controls to the heart of the sun - looking forward to a glorious festival! B)

I only saw the show up until man smart women smarter (they were killing it) before i was promptly escorted by 5 security guards for literally being near someone smokin a j, didn't know the guy or even handle to joint. I ended up sitting in the lobby listening to the rest of the show. Never been to a show with more strict and uptight security then there. Another guy was also escorted and kicked out for smoking a cigarette...the band also seemed a little ticked off at the beginning regarding their time limit. Personally I don't they'll return there, and I sure as hell won't.

Dear Prudence was total HEAVEN and the whole show was unbelievable right out the gate, tight playing and happy crowd(where I was).  The security was a bit more uptight than they needed to be, where we danced there was 1 guy to start and at one point there were 4 guys around us, mostly looking for people to bust, but they were cool with us flailing and even moved out of the way when needed.    Too bad for just the long set, but DSO made you feel like it was 2 sets.  Crazy, beautiful lightning show all the way home and some amazing rains.  Hope it's out of it's system before this weekend

so the place only hold 300 peeps, so because of their strict injun rules (because they want you gambling promptly at 10pm) the band starts at 759pm there is literally 150 people in line and others ticket holders leisurely walking to line from all over the property- so the place was basically empty while band played on, spent 2 songs in line 10 feet from door. Event managers should be fired in fact I might apply. Show was good, but don't play there anymore.. Play the Stanley in Utica!

Having a bunch of little old ladies, walk each and every ticket holder to their seat, was the fist sign of a venue that was just not cut out for a Dead scene. Too many chairs and tables in the way.   A few unhappy looking waitresses. Mega-security presence, and quite a few, middle aged, odd birds, acting like college freshmen at their first kegger.

Oh well.

The set was a trip.  Jeff played really, really, good. Kevin dropped some mega-bombs... I thank him, and I wish him the best.  And the room really did have a great sound, but overall, I hope they never play there again.

Jesus, stories like these make Bay Area venues/shows sound like heaven on earth.  And I thought, way back in the day, that the Cap Crap Center was bad!

^^^ Wait...let me fix this for you.  There you go.

It's funny the security kicked me out of the show room for smoking but not the whole casino...I really hope they didn't assume that I was just gonna go put all my money in their machines after that bullshit. I've been to many great shows there but they'll never see me again

I do not think the venue was prepared for the scene.  Some looked in total shock.  The sound and playing was fantastic.  Prudence and TUIB were as good as I have ever heard the songs played.  Jeff scorched the whole night.  Set was very JGBish.  Ironically they (security) were very kind to our table.  DSO were as good as I have seen them in recent shows.
