Forum MVP Tom Banjo Posted May 21, 2013 Forum MVP Report Share Posted May 21, 2013 I'm not going to disagree with bluesman too much. I do not agree that Buffalo has the most respectful of audiences. There were a lot of college kids that just graduate school or finished the semester getting drunk. Lots of kids that I don't expect to see at shows post college and a few respectful college kids that will be on this bus for the long haul. It all depends on where you are in the crowd, how well you can personally tune in and drop out, and your own personal inclination towards talking. A talker can't really complain about other talkers. I did not leave the show early and I did not find the situation to be unbearable, but if you think your 99 percent statement is factual. I think your 99% full of shit. I will come back to this show later. I thought the show was strong, but not near the top I've seen performed. Rochester was superior musically and nothing was close to the first night of Port Chester on this run.
Forum MVP chuckvegas Posted May 21, 2013 Forum MVP Report Share Posted May 21, 2013 As long as the 99% aren't trying to sing along with 99% of the songs at 99% of the top of their lungs...
Dancin' Fool
I literally cried when the kicked me out of AC Furthur in April------ What did you do to make them kick you out? Just curious...
Forum MVP chuckvegas Posted May 22, 2013 Forum MVP Report Share Posted May 22, 2013 One or two other people have had trouble in transit as far as AC goes. But the DSO shows themselves have always been among the absolute best. Either at HOB or the Hilton (alas, evidently that venue has changed), the band plays extremely well there. The dancing room is, well, roomy. Give the town another shot. You may be glad to did, especially since I'm sure you'll bear the previous learning experience in mind. Forum MVP August West Posted May 22, 2013 Forum MVP Report Share Posted May 22, 2013 Totally different scene in AC for DSO, than it is for Furthur. Some of the best of times, and best shows, for a lot of folks on this board happened down there. You're getting there Sun...you're starting to make some headway here. Give it another shot on July 26th, I might even let you stay in my suite at the Showboat with us. Patience, young grasshopper.
Forum MVP Tom Banjo Posted May 22, 2013 Forum MVP Report Share Posted May 22, 2013 I failed to get any reviews done. I am prepared to get the donkey. Let's call it a draw. See ya at the Jubilee.
redeyedbert
Talkers suck but I feel like a tough guy now. I was at the Town last November. Night one I got puked on before the show started. Night two some girl tried to high five me and missed and drove a fingernail into my eye. Deep. This was no harmless eye poke. If I would have left night 1, I would left one of the best DSO shows I have ever seen. Stay next time.
