Scott Timmins!
I'm a bit concerned about the May 21st show at the Turning Stone Casino Resort. They're booked for the Showroom at TS, which is an 800 seat theater with table and booth seating. The problem is that I've talked to people who have seen other acts there such as Pat Benatar and Queensryche And without fail, the venue managers have strictly enforced a NO STANDING rule when the bands are playing! I'm wondering if the DSO folks are aware of this, and if it has been addressed? Because there is no way you're going to get 800 Heads to sit at a table for even one minute. I'd would hate to see the scene get weird and ugly in a battle of Ushers vs Deadheads.
Forum MVP Mango Posted March 18, 2013 Forum MVP Report Share Posted March 18, 2013 IF they try to shut down standing they will quickly realize that it's in vain. I don't think you'll have a problem. you can always dance in the bathroom.
Forum MVP GratefulFred Posted March 18, 2013 Forum MVP Report Share Posted March 18, 2013 Yeah. I have seen attempts to keep Deadheads from dancing. May Jerry have mercy on their souls if they try.
Forum MVP Vortex Posted March 19, 2013 Forum MVP Report Share Posted March 19, 2013 I checked into this and we received this reply from the venue: Reply from Turning Stone... < Fans can ABSOLUTELY stand at our shows. >
Scott Timmins!
Hey, thanks (Rob or Dino) for checking this out for me! The picture in my mind of 800 fans, sitting politely, ordering rum n cokes, and chit chatting at candle lit tables during a DSO show, would have me questioning the use of my disposable income and my sanity. I checked into this and we received this reply from the venue:Reply from Turning Stone... < Fans can ABSOLUTELY stand at our shows. >
