What a wonderful set list. I have a copy of this original show in 76, it is really great show through and through and same goes for the show Garcia did a year later at the same venue (11/23/1977). A lot of personal JGB favorites are covered in this set list. Would've loved to hear Lisa on Strange Man.

How often does DSO do a JGB show? I always enjoy catching Melvin Seals' continuation of JGB when they are around. I'm as nuts for JGB as I am for the dead. Both exist in the same universe of kick-ass awesomness.

{{{JGB set @ the Jubilee}}}

Maybe something like:

Sugaree > Tore Up, Russian Lullaby, Rueben & Cherise, Mission in the Rain, Simple Twist, Gomorrah > Deal

Tangled Up in Blue, Harder They Come, How Sweet it is, Don’t Let Go > Lonesome, Cats Down Under Stars, Lucky Ole Sun > Dear Prudence

E:  Midnite Moonlight > Palm Sunday

We were lucky enough in St.louis on 1-18-2007 at the Pageant to get a 7-21-1976 Jerry Show from the keystone, Berkley,CA with special guest Brad Klepinger on keys and Brad Sarno on pedal steel- if memory is correct i think Rob Eaton was sick so they did a Jerry show. What a great treat this was!!! Sadly though there  was some people "upset" over this show because not the "full line-up for DSO" guess you can't please everybody!! LOL

Not very often! 19 in '01 two in '02, one in '07, one in '11.  They did a full tour of JGB shows in 2001. Rob Eaton had a prior commitment as engineer/mixer for Pat Metheny Group's Grammy winning album "Speaking of Now" (Best Contemporary Jazz Album of 2003)

I think it's cool that Donna Jean Godchaux-Mackay 'played' the part of Donna Godchaux :)

Add "Who Was John?" to that list. DSO's rendition in Covington was unbelievable. I'd funnel mayonaise for a recording.
