Band Member robbok3 Posted February 19, 2013 Band Member Report Share Posted February 19, 2013 Chopper asked me to pass this along: Dear DSO family, I'm back home after having the time of my life. I just wanted to thankthe members of the band, the crew, and all the DSO family that providedsuch a warm and energetic reception. You were all such gracious hosts, terrific people, and it was a genuine joy to be a part of the scene for acouple days. This old guy doesn't roll off the mountain much anymore, but it was well worth the trip through the cold rain and snow to makeand play the gigs. DSO crew, you guys are the best. Matt, Nick, Cotter, Will, Bryan and Weinke--props to you all for everything you did and do. You spoiled me. How fun (andhumbling) it was!!! The band, you guys make it so easy to jam with. So good. So easy tosupport. So much fun. The vibe is alive through you guys, and I feelmore than fortunate to be able to tap into some of it for a short while.Monsters of groove and makers of melody--being in the middle of thatocean of sound was thrilling, to say the least. Keep rocking and keeprolling--you are doing more than playing music--you are maintaining anenvironment--and our world is starved for that. Thank you for beingconscientious custodians of the flame. Family and fans, thank you for all the energy, the smiles, and thepositive feedback. You all are truly terrific, and your passion for themusic flows from you. Thanks for helping keep it happening. I am sorry for the circumstances under which these gigs took place, andmy meditations are with Rob Eaton and his family. I wish them all thebest. Thank you again, everyone in DSO-land. I don't know if I'll get anotheropportunity like this during this lifetime, but if not, this will beenough to carry me for many years and miles. Good luck to you all, rockon, take care of yourselves, and take care of someone else. Peace, Chopper

After Koritz wedding, we met up with him at the airport when we were all leaving St. Louis and had a really good conversation over some lunch.. he's a great guy, and not one to be fucked with as he's a Black Belt in a few styles of karate Wish I could of been to the shows he was playing! On top of a mountain in a house he and his wife built with their own four hands. Really wonderful place. He is quite the rennasiance man. Husband, Father, High School Teacher, Karate man who runs his own dojo, foster parent, writer, musican and much more. I'm proud to call him one of my oldest and closest friends. Forum MVP gr8fulpair Posted February 20, 2013 Forum MVP Report Share Posted February 20, 2013 Chopper was in his element obviously by the way he walked front and center and belted out a sweet Stranger to kick things off. What a great spirit and infectious smile. Makes one feel good just watching him play. Knowing he did this first and foremost out of his love for Rob Eaton and the rest of the band and crew makes him that much more appealing. Chopper,......... Keepin it real. 4evergr8ful
I was in Charlotte and was also blown away by Chopper! Thanks so much to him for effortlessly jumping in so that show didn't get cancelled! (I drove 6 hours so very thankful for that!) Such a stellar group of musicians to be able to make those sort of adaptations! You never cease to amaze me DSO <
