Guest crazy digits
I had plans to do all 4 Chimenti shows....instead, did the the first 3 and skipped the Lowell show. The Egg is a great theatre but the security ruined the show for me...won't go back....they were not into dancing at all unless it was in your chair :-( having said all of that, Crazy Fingers, Loser, Comes a Time were nice :-) Portland was my favorite of the 3. Ran into Norman and Suzie and was really happy about that. Norman worked for the band at one point..great peeps! Certainly did not speak with Jeff C but his face said it all.,...The Music to close the first set was a MONSTER...from that point on, it seemed that he was blown away with what was happening up there :-) The second set was even better and perhaps the best Fire I have ever seen...and that is saying something...would love to see that available for the public. Oakdale was way too packed for any real enjoyment to be had....probably oversold for that size of room...funny thing is, the pavilion was totally closed off and they used the lobby for the show? Granted, they would not have packed the pavilion but it would have been the right choice, of course, in my opinion. The Ship of Fools was special..It was nice to see some of the regulars. ...Having friends at the shows makes it for me...

Forum MVP FunkyBass13 Posted December 9, 2012 Forum MVP Report Share Posted December 9, 2012 I went to high school with Jeff. He's been a BEAST on the keys all his life.
Queenbapproximately
I've been a big fan of Jeff's for a few years but I think he sounded better than ever at the Wallingford show. I was completely blown away by the Stella Blue and Sugaree. I'm really hoping that show appears on the archive at some point. I had a fantastic time at that show. Found a nice space with plenty of room on the side of the stage where Jeff was. You could actually see really well from there. Agree that there were way too many people for the size of the space. The rest of the place was packed as far back as the entrance.
