Forum MVP Mango Posted November 28, 2012 Forum MVP Report Share Posted November 28, 2012 Filler - Next Time You See Me Wow, what a show! Want to say first and foremost that I love no-alcohol venues. Right on! And it didn't damper the crowd's enthusiasm one bit. Ample space between rows made for excellent 2-D dancing....not 3D but no one bumping into you(except the occasional corner of a seat, ow!) which I think allows for a more connected and undisturbed experience. Not saying that I would always want it this way but it sure was nice tonight. I call it Lateral Dancing, unless someone else can come up with a better name... My buddy called the shakedown opener and we were all pleased with the shaking that went down. Polka-time led us to an exquisite Ramble On Rose. I always enjoy hearing Jeff sing a hundred verses in ragtime, he could sing a thousand for all I care. A tender an emotional(at least for me) LLR rumbled and thundered into a roaring Deal which sent us out sweat drenched into the cold New Jersey night. Enough adjectives for ya? The second set was really something else. I was thinking China>Rider going in but was pleasantly surprised by the opening chords to Scarlet. The Scarlet>Fire from Penn's Peak featured a ridiculously strong Fire but tonight's was as whole stronger, especially the segue jam. The Fire was no slouch either A super smooth Estimated reminded me that I'll be knocking on the golden door in just a few days. I think this Terrapin was possibly the best i've ever seen...I believe majestic would be the word. Same goes for Black Peter, absolutely stunning . Strike another match go start anew....and it's all over now, baby blue
sudds94
"I love no-alcohol venues" Same here Mango, I like a drink or 2 before the show but "fall down drunks" at a show are no fun
