sunyata
Absolutely ridiiculous 60's style show. Along with the tunes Mangosteen listed, they also played I've Been All Around this World in the first set, and I think there might have been something else that I can't remember. Show was 4 hours long, extraordinary jamming -- some strong singing, and just uplifting energy. Alligator went into Mountain Jam for a little while. School girl had a great groove, and some very subtle jamming. The space out of drums was lovely, kind of in the vain of "Prelude" from Europe 72. Lots of Pigpen material which Rob B. and Lisa performed beautifully. When we finally got to Sing me Back home we were like in church. And then Lovelight. Wow. Very happy hippies young and old in Northampton tonight.
Forum MVP Supplicated Velvet Thunder Posted November 19, 2012 Forum MVP Report Share Posted November 19, 2012 TOLD you your first show without me would have Cold Rain and Snow open. Its our song, after all HA The universe always provides. All I got from Mango in text tonight was "that was one for the record books" and I am so happy one of us was there! for shame on not grabbing me a setlist from Jeffers, though.... direwolfe
Just underscoring, fantastic performance of such an exciting list. From the jam in Dancin' (Hypnotized?) you felt like something special was going on. _It's a Man's World_ was such a hybrid gem! Weirdly, in the six or seven DSO shows I've seen, I' heard =>William Tell=> twice.

franknkeene
5,6, or 7 shows a year for 10 years. NoHo last night was by far my favorite show of my DSO tenure. deeply grateful.
TerrapinJen
We did a collective group think trying ti figure out the first set. thinly we did well but definitely missed some songs. was so carried away by the music that I forgot to write anything down. it happens. anyway I guess we can update the setlist later. second set was a monster tho and fresh in our minds. Jeff seemed to be trying to pull any and every sound possible out of his guitar like it was a living breathing animal.. coaxing note out that reverberate with the soul. more later.. still processing the show In my brain!
