DaysBetween
Maybe I'm biased because this one JUST ended, albeit abruptly, but Jubilee I (or Jubiliee 2012?) was the best played festival I've seen DSO do through all the GFests, All Goods, DSO Jam '01, etc etc etc. I should look at the ol' tourbook to verify this, 'cause maybe my brain is just fixated on how each show was SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO good.... but after more than a decade of DSO festivals, this one shredded from start to finish like never before. All that's left to say is: THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU EVERYONE And when can we do this again???!!?!?!?!?!?
Forum MVP bs69 Posted September 3, 2012 Forum MVP Report Share Posted September 3, 2012 I will second that. Every show was very well played. They had a lot of other good bands and the off and on rains were strategically placed to allow the music to continue. The grounds drained and dried really well, unfortunately it all drained under the main stage.
jamminOnThe1
I agree. You could almost sense a higher level of confidence in every aspect of their obligation to us. Great job Band, crew, and anyone else that was involved in creating the event.

TerrapinJen
I also agree that the playing was just phenomenal. I couldn't seem to contain my joy the entire time I was there. I think everyone that camped with me can attest that I had a shit eating grin on my face from start to finish. thank you everyone for such a great weekend

Forum MVP Rude Posted September 10, 2012 Forum MVP Report Share Posted September 10, 2012 Seriously... BEST WEEKEND EVER!!!!! Seriously!! Im still buzzing. We have already been recruiting friends for next years jubilee. When we said this was the best 3 days ever, people just dont seem to understand how fun it was! Now Im sure next year wont be quite as easy to stand 5 feet from stage every single show with plenty of room or never have to wait to pee or get disco pizza with a 1 minute wait or getting the best camping spot ever on the ridge, but Im sure it will still be awesome! Oh Wait. I forgot to even mention how amazing the music was!!!
stillrockinout
Hello Friends, Now that I have been back at work for a week, the glow from the Jubilee is finally beginning to subside just a bit. This was not really a festival, it was more like a big ol' private party where 3 or 4 thousand of your good friends got together. One of my favorite parts of the weekend was how the musicians[especially DSO] came out and mingled with the fans, very cool... Favorite acts among many were Jorma, The Stringdusters, Donna The Buffalo,Spikedrivers,7 Walkers, and of course DSO. I hope this thing doesn't get much bigger, even though I understand the money issues. Charge more if you need to, I dont give a damn.I'll just work an extra weekend to cover it.This was the best festival I've ever been to!!Sounds like most folks liked the smaller stages, maybe thats the way to go. Bigger is not always better,of course old farts like me do not care for the big festy's. This was the perfect size for me. Peace to All..........Bob
