Forum MVP Evangeline Posted September 1, 2012 Forum MVP Report Share Posted September 1, 2012 Wow! DSO out of the gate like gangbusters! Set 1 Bertha Promised Land West LA Fadeaway Little Red Rooster Dupree's Diamond Blues My Brother Esau Brown-Eyed Women Stranger Might as Well Set 2 China>Rider Estimated>Eyes Drumz>Space TOO>Black Peter Sugar Mag>Johnny B. Goode E: Baby Blue Filler: SSDD, Tangled Up in Blue, New Orleans, Werewolves of London What a show! Very strong and complete rock fest despite the heat. The set-up of the place was excellent and sound was fantastic. Lighting was also incredible. My highlights included Red Rooster (Eaton!!!), Stranger (DSO owns this song!), Estimated>Eyes was beyond--very fast Eyes and the guitar was totally ripping. The Black Peter may have been the best one I have ever heard, and I do not say that lightly. I was also hoping for a Werewolves considering the beautiful blue moon last night, and was indeed howling at the moon by show's end. What a great way for DSO to start these shows. Can't wait for today's music!
Forum MVP Supplicated Velvet Thunder Posted September 1, 2012 Forum MVP Report Share Posted September 1, 2012 Mango here, posting from lady velvet's phone. Very strong show last night. The heat is over now and the hurricane is here. Lots of booth rearranging goin on. Let it be known that we were the ONLY booth to close during DSO, and now are one of the only one's open during the rain. We will get by!
