Camping right in front of stage?

That is the exact wording of the news on the home page. Earlier they said camping would be on a "grassy knoll" overlooking the stage which is cool enough. I assume that there wont be tents on the rail lol, but it reads like you can be front row joe in your tent. Ill be in line at 8am Friday regardless :)

And I guess they posted the byob for the people that couldnt figure that out from their innuendos previously.

The area directly in front of the stage (I guess you could call it the pit) is all gravel. I doubt anyone would want to sleep on that. Behind it there is a nice grassy gradually sloping hill. I think I'm going to go for the camping in the woods though. I don't mind a little walk to the stage.

There should be plenty of room in the woods. I got to All Good Thursday and got a great woods spot. There were people showing up Saturday that still found space in the woods too. Considering the fact that All Good had probably 10 times as many people as the Jubilee will I don't think finding space in the woods will be a problem.

im totally confused about the camping situation...im reading it like you can be front row joe in a tent, seems like no fun for any one. either dancin on gravel or thru somebody's kitchen? i communicated via e-mail with jeff from the place, and while i did ask him about earlt arrival/entry, and got bad news, he seemed like a nice enough guy to get some answers from. im having an issue with getting a small camper in, and was gonna call him anyway.

Hey now ~ I've tried to look up some pics that may offer the layout for the venue.... but no luck. So, I found a few that may offer some insight into the layout. So, typically when you first arrive, you'll be walking into the venue, downhill, with this type of view (yeah, sometimes inclusive of the playful cops... the owner of LV has a good rapport with the local officials and they're generally pretty jovial and mellow). You can see the owner of LV's houses and horse barn in the background. The stage will face this way and the production crews come in on Kindle Road (for those of you that peruse maps). Sometimes, VIP is back there, too. Not sure if DSO will set up like that or have VIP elsewhere (like at All Good). And the pines that you may hear about would be to your left (with this view).

See the pines?? lol typically (like during hookahvilles and other fests) one would park behine the pines at the top of the hill. Typically, you could park there and bring in your belongings and camp where you please. Sometimes, you can park & camp at the same spot. Sometimes, you can drive your car into the venue (like behind these vending tents) if you get there early (like Thursday and/or before the music commences). Sometimes, if you camp and park at the same spot and 5,000 people show up... it flows over into the neighboring lands ...which is across the road of SR 13 (like at All Good or, for those of you that remember, at Grateful Dead shows :) and yes, trees are there, too! ) Where these vendors are set up is at the edge of the gravel and behind them is the grassy field. At the back of the field and to the right of this view are groups of trees.

So, to the right of the stage you'll see some woods/ groups of trees where you can camp, usually, when camping is permitted in the venue.

Well, that wasn't as good as actually having a map layout of the place. But, it may give you some idea of the layout.

As for the weather, storms sometimes blow in and out of that place so I'd bring at least two pairs of comfy shoes. This time of year, the nights get very cool and chilly. I'd bring some warm gear for those nights.

yeah thats the guy. we are not getting in early. gates open at noon fri, and he didnt say if it was possible to get in line at the gates early, or if the line up starts at noon. there are some camping options not too far off, koa buckeye lake columbus east something or another. there will be no ferris wheel. i have a camper so i guess im at the base of the pines or something. never been there, dont know the layout. thanks so much for the picture of the place, helps to get bearings. jeff was quite helpful with the emails. is he the owner? seems like a good guy.

hey now ~ Jeff works for Walther Prods. He is a nice guy and represents well. Steve and Laura Trickle own the property and have horses on the farm. Don't get too discouraged. Base of the pines might mean .... well.... sometimes camper camping is behind the stage... however, if you saw the rv in one of the pics ... well, that's just a fluke lol probably a cabin fever show which is kinda small time so you can pretty much park anywhere at those shows.

hm friday at noon, eh? thanks for the heads up ~ for some reason I thought folks could get in on Thursday... guess I need to check my notes and memos and whatnot

the ferris wheel thing is for all good and that was the first time for that thing at LV. Probably only see it at all good.

as for the buckeye lake camping.... that lake is sweet and reminds me of a coastal region... and definitely worth a drive by, to say the least. It looks as though the KOA is about a 1/4 mile from the water's edge

well, if I sign off here now... I just might get some sleep tonight ~ :)
