Imho it was just an average show. the music had its powerful beautiful moments at times but was not one of the best tour. there were a few forgotten lyrics and the beginning of brokedown sounds like everyone hit the first note at a different time. they did seem to hit their stride at times, but others not. musically id give it a b-. laugh/cry, west la, China doll, and throwing stones were especially fun. There was an EXTREMELY HIGH cop presence that was totally unnecessary. everywhere you looked there were herds of cops. it was a pretty interesting experience to shake my bones like a fool next to two cops and their guns during throwing stones. they looked a little nervous. the venue was super packed down front with lots of way too drunk flailers pushing and stumbling their way into me. got hit in the head with an elbow twice. not okay. eventually space cleared during the second set and I had a much more positive experience. crowd I give a c- and venue I give a b. with that being said, I am grateful that they still had the show that night. at one point it was canceled sue to weather before they found the municipal auditorium as a replacement. I give the band, town, and event planners a big hug and thanks for getting that organized so quickly and smoothly. if one didnt know about the last minute change, one would have thought they were having it there all along. I'm bummed I missed the levee experience.. the pictures looked beautiful but I'm glad they found a way to still have the show.

about an hour from Harrisburg now. more thoughts later.
