Forum MVP Tea Posted July 12, 2012 Forum MVP Report Share Posted July 12, 2012 Good times folks. Not DSO mind you, but tight stuff for the most part: 1: After Midnight, Doin That Rag, West LA Fadeaway, Schoolgirl, Loose Lucy, ½ Step, Ramble On Rose 2: Playin in the Band, Midnight Hour > HC Sunshine > Jam > Mtns. Of the Moon > UJB > No More I Do > Foolish Heart, The Days Between E: Box Very good DTR, Loose Lucy, West LA, and a great Ramble on from set 1. Set 2 was out there. A 22-minute Playin turned things inside-out. Very exploratory stuff by Furthur standards but Bobby stole the show with his rendition of The Days Between. Not my favorite tune by a long-shot but BW channeled his vocal abilities of some 25 years prior. The show-stopper for me despite an excellent Foolish Heart and a strong UJB. Worth a listen even with the yak-factor on the high-side: http://archive.org/details/Futhur2012-07-11.KokaBooth_Avenson Tracking on this version is jacked-up so Days appears under donor rap. All in all a good show. It did make me jonez that much more for my upcoming DSO slate...

Forum MVP gr8fulpair Posted July 14, 2012 Forum MVP Report Share Posted July 14, 2012 It was a fun show. My first time seeing Furthur. Wasn't authentic GD fun like a DSO show, but also had fun with my boy Tea for Texas and others. Loved the Box of Rain closer!! Phil can still trample that all he wants - its his song and we love it that way. A FIRST RATE venue - one of the coolest I've been to.
