heartily agree with most of these venues, at least the ones ive been to... gotta disagree with a few tho- electric factory hate it from the pat down getting in, to the no smoking signs that everyone ignores, to the kids that never shut the fuck up during the show. orange peel- dude at the door let me thru, then went and got me to take my shit.

i love the whittaker center or sunoco palace or whatever in harrisburg. starland ballroom(?) in some armpit in central jersey, the hempiest place on earth. neighborhood theatre in charlotte, and my all time favorite place to see a show- the fabulous crystal meth(i mean rock) room in downtown portland oregon, where the floor is bouncing as hard as the hippies. its like being on the moon, with good beer.

agree with some of the dishonorable mentions for sh&tty venues, but oddly, i ve had some of my best times at those places

Penns Peak , Jim Thorpe PA- the band's energy here is aways amazing

Electric Factory - Philadelphia PA - philly LOVES a good shakedown street, and the guys (and Lisa) never disappoint at this venue

Sherman - Strausburg PA

Wellmont - Montclair NJ

Mercer County Park - love outdoor stuff

Basically perfer GA over assigned seating. GA allows tons of room to dance and bop.

Didnt Like:

Rams' Head - Baltimore MD - over-sold and bad sight lines - no room to dance

Grand Opera House Wilmginton DE- the crowd was soooo stuffy. "is that an Izod shirt?"

simsjim 215 above with the comment on the izod shirt brought back a memory of seeing dso at princeton u, whatever the name of the hall is. anyway, as we're walking back to the car thru "downtown" princeton, a guy in the group of four in front of us remarked "i like princeton, it reminds me very much of the hamptons" so, needless to say, every walk back to the car, or the train or the tent is very nice, reminds me of the hamptons
