Herdy was discussing favorite venues in another post and I thought it might be fun to reminisce

for those of us who have seen a venue or two. I would like to keep this to venues DSO has played only and can include outdoor venues as well.

1. Wanee > small stage > Live Oak, Florida

2. Ledges > Garrettsville, Ohio

3. Spud Drive Inn > Driggs, Idaho

4. Lo Lo Hot Springs > Lo Lo, Montana

5. Fillmore > SF, CA

6. Penns Peak > Jim Thorpe, PA

7. Mish > Bellevue, CO

8. AC Hilton > AC

9. The Grove > Aneheim, CA

10. Belmont Country Club > Ashburn VA

11. Theatre at Westbury > Westbury, NY

12. Veteren's Park Amp > Springfield, Ohio

I know I am leaving out a few....

Fillmore #4 and no Great American? GAMH is so intimate!

Definitely GAMH (parking aside). Fillmore for sure. Also, getting to see DSO at the Warfield was one of my all time favorites.

Also partial to the Belly Up in Solana. Just love Solana Beach. So day, I'll get out to the Mish and Statebridge.

no particular order really except the wanee....love GAMH ( saw shows in 2/05 there ) but didnt make the list because it gets SO crowded...I'm old and crowds annoy me because I flail.

state bridge is my fave but the rest are in no particular order though outdoors seems to always be best....

the mish

GAMH

AC hilton

canyon club

penns peak

variety playhouse, atlanta, ga (first show- great community)

terrapin hill, ky

and though DSO hasn't played there yet and even though I don't live as close anymore they should still play the van duzen grange hall in carlotta, ca (humboldt)- it would just be the best party of the century, seriously, just take my advice! ;)

so we shoulda been home (for the first time) round 6 today but instead we are at a hotel waiting to take the car in for a check up tomorrow cause the check engine light is on.... FUN! home tomorrow, we are SO READY.

I've been to most of those listed above and agree wholeheartedly about their worthiness. So I won't gild the lily except to just add one:

McDonald Theater, Eugene

Funny too how no one mentioned the Starland in Sayreville NJ. I have some special memories of good times there!

you know, that is about the funniest listing on here..... wouldn't say "fun" but "interesting" and "one hell of a memory" could def describe that place..... little too humid though....

Favorite places I have seen DSO:

Stubbs in Austin

Navy Pier

Granada - Lawrence, KS (Old Beat Up Movie Theater with great sound)

Pagaent - Home Court (but a top shelf operation)

Oh and my other favorite venue is the OUTDOOR VENUE IN ST.LOUIS THEY PLAY IN THE SUMMER THAT DOES NOT EXIST BECAUSE THEY HAVE NEVER PLAYED OUTDOORS in ST. LOUIS in THE SUMMER IN THE BANDS HISTORY....

Just sayin...Sorry I had a moment...Love you guys!!!!

PS - The One set gig at the Sculpture Park in September and the Jam Grass thing in August indoors don't qualify.

I'm a homer, but the Orange Peel in AsheVegas is hard to beat before, during and after.....

Had some good times at the Peel to be sure Chris ;)

The setup and associated vibe at another Ashville venue ~Pigsah Brewing~ is stout. Outdoor venue with BIG smiles, craft beers, kynde people, and LITTLE sundresses :)

Can't wait for the 2 show run there in August!
