Filler: saint of circumstance> china cat>rider>satisfaction

Amazingly fun first set. Tom thumbs blues makes me happy and the LitG was pretty well off the charts.

By terrapin I was on the hill in the grass with waves of sound rolling over me.

During the wheel and black Peter I did deep meditations to release my step dad from his body and when they encored box I knew it would work. I am up this mornin cause my mom just called to say he's gone.... I am so grateful for last night.... I will never forget this show.

On reflection I have to mention the lights since festival lights are the chance for phenomenal showings that you just can't get inside...... WOW. I couldn't leave my spot on the hill after drums>space because the sound hitting the hill combined with THAT LIGHT SHOW was too captivating. He had the lights blinkin just right to the drumbeats and by the time he brought color back into it I had all but forgotten anything but pure white light existed. Come to think of it, Barraco had said something about how weird that droid-like light in the front can be "freaking him out" when he came on stage and when I said that he should imagine standing down in the crowd cause that thing eats my face he might not have heard but its the truth! Wicked lil lights!!!!!

I don't think I have ever watched DSO from that far back before (since maybe my 3rd show- all good) and never at night so it was a true delight to watch everything about the fantasy circus swirl into peoples heads to take them where they've never been or can't wait to return to.

people complain about '91 shows but I think that is silly to get caught up in setlists/song selection when this band simply rocks those particular shows in ways that SHOULD make up for your personal vendetta against a song or songs cause of when the Dead played em.... the whole point is to move forward always and if this band can't help you do that maybe you have personal issues and shouldn't blame the band or the setlist :) just a thought to keep discussions happier on the blankets and in hotel rooms..... constructive criticism and personal tastes are one thing, but don't let your heart be broken and try to bum others out cause they played a '91 and not a '77!!!!!!

What a show!!! I loved every minute of it!! I'm not the biggest Satisfaction lover, but DAMN that was SMOKIN' HOT!! First time I got to hear them play an electric show with that "new" soundboard, and boy did it blow my mind!

I turned two on the day this show was originally performed. Very special to hear this. Foolish, PITB, Terrapin, and Black Peter were all humongous. Feel blessed to have been there. Had an absolute blast all night.
