Forum MVP Supplicated Velvet Thunder Posted May 19, 2012 Forum MVP Report Share Posted May 19, 2012 Setlist from the band minus the three they did not play: Iko Iko Silver Threads Friend of the Devil Bobby MGee Big Boss Man Sittin in Limbo Me and My Uncle Deepelem Blues Monkey and the Engineer Rosalie McFall On the Road Again You Ain't Woman Bird Song>Ripple Wonderful acoustic show with much more dancing and less talking than the last one, though it was short with only one set. After FOTD Jeff said the name of the song and the crowd giggled and then went on to say who wrote it and Barraco chimed in with his David Nelson comments about who did the opening bit and they had a little stage exchange about the geeky truth of the matter which was pleasant and entertaining. Jeff ended the discussion by saying they'd ask on Sunday. Excellent selection and the Limbo was especially moving as they took their sweet time with it and really made the crowd feel it. Can't wait for the next few nights cause it is always nice to stay in one place a while to see some shows.
Forum MVP Mango Posted May 19, 2012 Forum MVP Report Share Posted May 19, 2012 Good to be back on the hill. I personally like this place other than the uneven dance floor(which can be remedied with a little personal-space landscaping). Acoustic show was a nice way to start off the weekend. I enjoyed this set a lot more than either at the Bichmere but I'm pretty sure that had more to do with set and setting than the music itself. I really dug the acoustic sound on big boss man, Lisa continues to progress on the harp and I always enjoy tunes with her addition. It takes two to do Pig:) . Limbo is one of my personal favorites so always happy to hear that. Looking forward to a rocking electric show tonight with many friends and many smiles.
