Forum MVP Ammagamalin Crew Posted April 14, 2012 Forum MVP Report Share Posted April 14, 2012 DSO seems to do a lot of Omni shows really well------ sometimes it's possible to make crowds go away with some consciousness shifts and sometimes they're right there in front of you all night-------

Forum MVP Supplicated Velvet Thunder Posted April 22, 2012 Forum MVP Report Share Posted April 22, 2012 Totally excited to go to this show as it was unplanned completely though hoped for and eagerly attended. A day at the beach and relaxing over beers then off to the show. Shakedown in the face, definitely felt like the next night in ATL and I got excited cause 3 Omni shows in my 9 show run suits me well as that is the area where I started going to shows and this was special coastal crossing magic so I just melted into the music for the night despite the INSANE crowd of awful folks (though those of us who were there and really enjoying it sure did have a MIGHTY fine time!) Could barely catch a breath dancing until they swaggered down into stagger lee... I said this after seeing it at the mish and I'll repeat myself with slightly diff words cause its just the truth I can't help expressing: jeff really nails stagger lee for me. he just doesn't let up and it goes on forever and he really makes her tell stagger lee how it is and that is what I go to see and what makes me come back (not the particular song, just these consistently stellar performances that make me just BE here or there and both or whatever). dancin thru and then we get that slow fotd that just melts the place away and though the crowd had REALLY begun to get obnoxious we really did just keep feeling the music in our lil corner surrounded by friends. queen jane so sweet and sparkling and a raucous deal to really make the hairs on my arms stand on end (thanks Kevin!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) fun as always iko and when we get the straight saint I giggle cause i kept saying i wanted it and when i would say it i wanted lost sailor in my head but never SAID both so the saint alone tickled me thru to rainbow land and I felt every single word and let the notes just fling me across the spaces outside of my head. terrapin for the soul and into a superb (I mean, these drums spaces are just REALLY SOUNDING AMAZING right now and I am really craving more of them in the near future, REALLY GREAT!) drums into spacing into that other one that made the crazy lady scram for them to 'play a song already' and though we kept trying to fall into the music it got a little intense for the crowd and they began swinging and molesting and by wharf rat the place just COULD NOT TAKE IT and I really just gave up on doing anything but maintaining a play at ignorance of the level of insane disrespect and misinterpretation by just loving the music on through it and trying to hear the notes not the jabber...... but throwing stones works it all out so that those that dance to shake their bones can get it out and those just throwing stones can't really make it out and the divine plan once again took the energy through the eye of that needle into a not fade that everyone really needed. i felt the quinn a million miles away and the satisfaction was incredibly deep. same as the weight it just really made my soul soar the way they just touched each sound so soft and really took the load off. amazing show, brilliant to see them make it through playing through so much chaos right in their faces.... that's talent glad we all made it through in the crowd, guess we did have some room by the time the real crazies couldn't take it anymore.
