JenL1125
Any info on this TBA Philly show? Is it set in the schedule for May 27? I have to get someone to fill in for me at work if it's a go, so...just wondering.
Guest L~Cat
going to be Jam on the River (now posted on schedule page).... with Wailers and Keller also. 2 full sets at 6 PM! been 5 years since they played the actual festival....fun day but smokin' hot! I think it was about 95 degrees with probably 95% humidity and in the blazing sun. couple of familiar flailers here in the wailers show from that day around the 2 min mark :-)
JenL1125
Thanks for the heads up! For one reason or another, I' ve never gotten down to the river for this particular event, but I AIN'T missin' it this year! How's the sound down there? Did you find that there was plenty of room to dance, or do I need to get there early to carve out some space?
Guest L~Cat
oh goodness...hard to remember that long ago! I didn't require as much dancing space back then ;-) I don't remember anything about the sound- but I think was probably fine. and I don't remember hassling at all in the crowd...I think there was plenty of room for folks to dance. Keep in mind we're talking about concrete...bring some good shoes. I do remember there wasn't a lot of room to park!!!!
Advisory Board Herdygerdy Posted March 6, 2012 Advisory Board Report Share Posted March 6, 2012 I do remember there wasn't a lot of room to park!!!! I remember parking was almost as expensive as the damned ticket to the show(s)
Carolina Blackjack Jeb
I saw them there years ago with STS9. Bolts of lightning came crashing down during STS9's set and they were done. At least DSO and John Butler were able to play a full set.
