Smoking hot show for a packed house at the Fillmore in Charlotte (don't think it sold out, but had to be close). Took a bit to get the crowd goin', but by the time Me and my Uncle came around the place was rollin'. From that point through the end of the first set, there was no break in the action. Rob E. just slayed that LRR and the China Cat > Rider ALWAYS brings the house down! Great way to end the set. Opening set 2 with Shakedown got us right back to where we were at the end of the first set. Had a nice sweaty dance with my wife during LLR (her favorite), Jeff did a beautiful job with Ship of Fools and then a super funky Estimated got us cranked right back up. Other One was really intense, followed by a gorgeous and slow Wharf Rat (one of my favs). Don't Ease was a short barn-burner to end on a high note. Jeff did a great job on the Ripple, unfortunately every drunk in the house knew the words to that one and thought they could sing it better than Jeff. Oh well, a super nice wind-down to wrap up the show. I had a bunch of veteran heads and non-heads from work who had never seen DSO and the reviews from them were "when are these guys coming back!!". Blown away. Thanks to band and crew for the hard work! On to ATL!!
