Looks like a recent slate of fabulous Electives. Like this one:

One: Let The Good Times Roll > Beat It On Down The Line ; When Push Comes To Shove ; It's All Over Now ; Easy To Love You ; Mississippi Half-Step Uptown Toodleloo ; Desolation Row ; The Harder They Come ; The Race Is On ; High Time ; Big Iron ; Tangled Up In Blue

Two: Hell In A Bucket ; Crazy Fingers > Dear Mr. Fantasy > Help On The Way > Slipknot > drums > Space > The Last Time > She Belongs To Me > Slipknot > Franklin's Tower > (I Can't Get No) Satisfaction

Encore: My Sisters And Brothers

Are you serious? I mean - this is getting crazy. a 1st set that includes a Half Step, Desolation, HIGH TIME!, and Tangled to close. We know how they do Bucket, and then they decide to take on the likes of Crazy Fingers, Fantasy, and a She Belongs to me, inside of a HSF sandie no less? I wasn't there and I am dumbfounded. While I say this with my tongue firmly planted in my cheek: Please save some for me on your southeastern swing! Did we have any embedded reporters?!? Do tell.

Had to sign up just to post this... Last night (KY Theater) was my first DSO show, and I'll have to say I was completely blown away... High Time was astoundingly beautiful, and Tangled was off the hook! The whole second set was just perfect. I was really, really hoping to hear HSF, and they delivered exceeding my expectations. She Belongs to Me thrown in the middle of it all was like the icing on the cake. The transition back in to Slipknot was flawless, and took me by surprise!

All said, I was truly impressed throughout the show. I saw a few tapers there, and I'd love to get a hold of a recording. Hopefully one pops up sometime in the near future. I can't wait till they come around my neck of the woods again!

I'm loving all these electives....bring them out here :-)

by the way, my friend from santa cruz who came with me to chicago was stunned by the terrapin nation show....the folks in california have yet to see TN and I can attest that they would love it....they wondered why the band doesn't do it out here. Sure would be fun And we have surpless GD, a little something else thrown in the mix would be a treat!

wish i was there for sure. dso would have been a better valentine than none!

I told you we should go to Kentucky. I should've kidnapped you and Coy and refused to drive you 2 home. The set lists on this tour so far have been amazing especially the originals. They keep playing sets like these and I may have to shift my original stance on originals vs recreations. I guess that would make me a flip flop and inconsistent. I should run for office.

Rick, what are you talking about? With original set lists (especially with ones like this) how can anyone have doubts on the age-old preferences question? This is the embodiment of res ipsa.

Chuck,

Until now, I have always been on the side of recreations. Being that I am young and never saw the Dead, I loved the feeling of being taken back to different time and different place. Sometimes catching on to what was happening and other times being lost in a past history that I had yet to understand and had very little knowledge of. Now, with the elective, I feel the band and myself journeying into new spaces that are incredible while still continuing to make an ode to the past. We shouldn't forget where we come from, but we must continue to grow and move forward. I will say 3 originals to 2 recreations is now the formula I would most like to see, but they could do all originals or all recreations and I would continue to keep coming back.
