Forum MVP bs69 Posted February 8, 2012 Forum MVP Report Share Posted February 8, 2012 http://content.usato...holic-leaders/1 The administration's forcing of Religious institutions to include contraceptive services in their Health care plans has become a huge issue that may cost the President a 2nd term. I am a Catholic that has no problem with birth control, however, I think this is a slippery slope if the Government can force organizations to go against their beliefs. The election will be too close for Obama to risk alienating a large percentage of the population. Thoughts?
Forum MVP cm_hayden Posted February 10, 2012 Forum MVP Report Share Posted February 10, 2012 The arguement can be made about religious freedom, but the more pressing issue is why a major industrial power doesn't provide health care for its population. Is contraception health care? If we ever do get to a National Health Care system, there will have to be reasonable limits to what is covered or the costs will be out of control and therein lies the problem.
