u need find a free bittorrent software for mac download....then you can play thru a shn/flac player OR you need to convert to apple lossless {or to mp3 [bleck]} to play thru itunes/ipod/etc...

try shnflac.net and bt.etree.org for shows to download....

New mac user here also. Download utorrent for free. Google it. Find shows you like at bt.etree.org or lossless legs and click download.

Download XLD for free. Google it. Use it to convert your flac or .shn to whatever you want. I tried apple lossless and wav tonight after reading your post and they both worked great.

I don't know if utorrent or XLD are the best, they just work for me.

Dstone would be happy. Under the various preferences for conversion in XLD you can choose mp3, but its called lame mp3.

No one is seeding it right now. I confirmed this by finding a show that was rare and not in demand. I have the same thing you have. ETA is the infinity sign and 0% downloaded. That doesn't mean you won't get it down the line. Be patient.

Also, I have received emails from people asking me to seed shows that I downloaded. I don't know how you find people that have your show (song) but it is possible.

Be patient, when that doesn't work, find out how you locate actual people who have the seed and ask them to seed it.

.....and xACT to decode to wav

I use xact for converting .shn now too.

Also I realized my previous post about "lame mp3" was confusing and wrong. I thought "lame mp3" was an opinion, not the name of a certain kind of mp3.

I found this on the internets so it has to be true.

Lame is an mp3 encoder that is open source, which means rather than being developed commercially, it was developed by unpaid programmers. It was originally not as good as the commercial mp3 algorithm, but as many people worked on LAME, it actually overtook the original mp3 encoder and is now better!

I like apple lossless over mp3 for importing into iTunes. If your iPhone/iPod, etc. doesn't have the capacity for the higher quality apple lossless you can convert to mp3 on that specific device. You keep the higher quality copy in your iTunes but have the lower quality mp3 on your iPod.
