rowe
Well it has been a pretty bleak winter here in Vermont, but things are shining a little brighter around here today! Thanks so much as always for making this happen Rob. Damn, there are a lot of good shows on that list....I guess my justification to the local nugs police will be...no money spent on lift tickets...a bit more on downloads! Forum MVP August West Posted January 24, 2012 Forum MVP Report Share Posted January 24, 2012 Thanks for all your hard work in getting these out to us Rob. We understand that you do this on your own time, with little or no reward. Please know that it's greatly appreciated! I did a bunch of the shows you are releasing, and will be purchasing the same. I am extremely grateful that you chose the New Brunswick show ,as you know it fell on Tara's birthday. I haven't been able to go back and hear the Bird Song that was dedicated to her,as there were no tapers present that evening. With that said, it never escaped my mind. My buddy Ernst shot the video, but mistakedely erased it while downloading. Happy skiing!

sudds94
Thanks Rob for all you do. Can't wait to get some of those shows. Any possibilities of the Mish shows or State Bridge Lodge from the summer? I know your working backwords and I don't mean to act inpatient (well more inquiring about them than inpatients) Anyways thanks for these shows and looking forward to Spring East Coast Tour. Guest Rob Eaton
I plan on catching up on the summer through the fall and will put out as much as possible . It's amazing how much time it takes to do it right. Unfortunately I don't know how to do it any other way..... Thanks for your patience..

However long the mastering / mixing of these shows takes you, we are lucky that you spend that time, as the results are always a feast for our ears. I can hardly wait for the new batch of shows! franknkeene
Something is different about these recordings! The sound quality? The playing? The mix/mixing? me, the listener? {{{{{{ melting }}}}}

franknkeene
OMG Rob, I meant the opposite. I meant spectaculer recordings got more spectaculer. I was {melting} into the floor with my head-phones on. re-reading my earlier post, I'm laughing (and can now see) how that can be interpretted. I gotta get "a hold" on my bliss before I post. Thank you for providing the vehicle!!!!! Frank

Forum MVP found Posted January 28, 2012 Forum MVP Report Share Posted January 28, 2012 Is anyone else having trouble downloading Space and The Other One from NYC on 11/25? I've downloaded every other show just fine except that one. Those two tracks just aren't coming through.
Forum MVP Mango Posted January 30, 2012 Forum MVP Report Share Posted January 30, 2012 Sound quality is incredible. The band sounds amazing, just as I remembered. One complaint. Why the track fade in and out coming out of space? I've noticed that on some shows in the past as well. I know I'm not the only one listening to these shows on an iPod. Or am I? Guest Rob Eaton
The fade in and out of space and around there is a break for the CD's. What I do is run a little longer on the end of CD #2 and then pull back some when I start Cd #3. Actually what you have is not cut if you were to put it into an editor. I have to break them into CD's no longer then 80 min long. Usually Space is at the end of Cd #2. Not much I can do but know I cut nothing. there is overlap on both sides just as it should be. Hell I was a taper once and hated to have cut's... Hope this explains it.... I guess when Downloading the Flac Files it would appear that there is a fade out and in and thats because it's formatted for CD's.... Peace Rob
Forum MVP Mango Posted January 30, 2012 Forum MVP Report Share Posted January 30, 2012 I gotcha. That IS great for CDs, it's just that for those listening to the show all the way through, uninterrupted, it fades in and out. Oh well, it's ally good. Shows sound amazing, I'm enjoying very much.
