Forum MVP lookyloo Posted November 16, 2011 Forum MVP Report Share Posted November 16, 2011 I ask an open question to everyone......WILL THERE BE A LIVE STREAM OF THE 2000TH? Please, I'm begging you. Someone find a way to stream the 2000th show for those who can't be there in person. Anyone with any skills please send me the link to your stream. To the production company for the 2000th......2 words......LIVE STREAM!!!!! I've been wearing my 1000th show shirt for a week. I tried everything to fly out there, but with work, family, and the fact that Ithaca is not the easiest to fly into, I was not able to swing the trip.... Forum MVP Tea Posted November 16, 2011 Forum MVP Report Share Posted November 16, 2011 I am by no means any authority on the streaming subject. I have seen streams for other bands and most of them have this same root: http://www.ustream.tv/music I would be very thankful if this could get figured out since I am also unable to make it to Ithaca. Help us out....................!

Ditto! #2000 should be special. There may or may not be a stream but I know nwnj Steve is doing something really great for those who can't be in attendance as well for those who were and want to watch the performance again. Advisory Board Herdygerdy Posted November 17, 2011 Advisory Board Report Share Posted November 17, 2011 Oh how I wish I could be at the show, but the universe isn't allowing me to attend... anotherjackstraw
The band should stream this , why ask fans ?The band has the power to stream the show and every show if they wanted. Of course this would mean less sales $$$$$ from Nugs.net. and such sites that overcharge for shows. Rumor has it , DSO used to allow soundboard patches, and a lot of them were up on archive , that is until they got greedy and took them all down, so now nobody gets to listen to them .Bravo! Money Money!
cyrbowls
I can't wait for this show, I love this theatre. The sound is awesome and Ithaca is such a heady little town. I will see you there Steve.

We really don't need this negativity. I've supported this band for 11 years. I've seen them play over 200 times, all over the US, Germany, and Amsterdam. I am just asking that someone, I don't care who, it could be a fan with a cell phone and strong internet connection, anyone, please stream the show. Money Money! From what I can see, no soundboards were taken down from the archive. Yes, the band used to allow soundboard patches and I do not think they allow it any more, but I do not believe it is because they are "greedy." I also do not believe they put up their shows on nugs.net to gain any sort of profit. There is a lot of work that goes into those and any money made from those most likely goes right into the production of them. Additionally, there are usually tapers at the shows and I have to say most of the audience recordings that come out are listenable. You are barking up the wrong tree and from what I can tell are not even a fan of this band. If your intention is to constantly stir up shit on this board, why don't you make better use of your time? Do you bring this type of negative energy to shows you attend? I sure hope not, otherwise I'm guessing you find yourself dancing alone.

Guest eyesofvermont
I'm confused... is this really the 2000th show? The setlists page says that show 1997 was last month in Houston, which would make last night in Boston show 2000, no? Sorry if this has been discussed already, I don't check in here all that often. Super stoked for tomorrow night regardless of what show number it turns out to be though. First time I saw Mr. Mattson in this band was at the historic State Theater of Ithaca two years ago, and he blew the roof off the place.
Forum MVP Teacher Matt Posted November 18, 2011 Forum MVP Report Share Posted November 18, 2011 Give DSO a little credit ... they can count from 1 up to 2000 (and I heard no calculator was needed) ... so yes Show #2000 is Ithaca .... the band took a month break after the Houston show....
