Should have headed out for the east coast today, but alas, the journey has not yet begun.

Should be out there before the tour is over, but who knows, playing it day by day is most fun.

HOWEVER, can't miss David Nelson Band this weekend, since they were so much fun last week (um, DSO, I know I have the most fun at the front row at your shows, but I have discovered a few other musicians who REALLY like me ridiculousness in the front, so I suppose I can share a little unicorn magic until I make it closer to ya!) and now that I am finally seeing amazing music out on this coast, I am becoming thoroughly addicted to the vibe.

SO, anyone else still out west and gonna be at any of these shows this weekend? (Berkeley, S Cruz, Chico)

Cause familiar conversation (yeah, you know the ones where we talk about DSO with twinkling eyes) sure would be nice... this is something I don't get enough of lately, as I am only now settling in to the fact that I have pretty much officially moved to CA and am starting to see some shows here. Like DSO (and thru them the Dead) it kinda just found me when I wasn't looking. Sweet.

Anyways, hope to see a few of you there, I'll be up front the whole freakin time as usual cause I don't know where else to be when the music is great.... dancing to live music sure beats dancing in the living room for a minimum of second set each night, though I'm grateful for what I can get.

Oh, and RAGE that 2000th show for me, ya'll, super bummer I can't make it in time :( but I'll be dancing on this coast with you all!

love,

steph

wish I could say I'd see you there, but I will not be in town this weekend as I am headed to Colorado. However you will be among some groovy folks in santa cruz and at ashkenaz too. Both great, cozy venues with a decent amount of dancin space.

and if you want a little variety, JGB is playing up in san rafael at the palm ballroom both nights.

show reports will be easy, but imma have to scoop the setlist to get it right cause i only know about half to 2/3 of the songs they play at this point..... but we're listening til we go so i'll have a fighting chance with my own list.

gonna do the moonalice thing in a couple weekends if we still can't make it east. (but one of these days we're gonna have a second car parked outside and wake up and decide that the next day we will be jumping in the car and'll be getting ready to go, its really the only way to do such things)

but DSO, we're gonna be in your faces soon enough, and the face stealing will begin in earnest. got a newbie that hasn't seen DSO (she hides out at moonalice and dnb) and its gonna be a GREAT first show when we finally make it.

david gans is opening for the fri and sun shows, so that'll be groovy as well. hope he plays that kick in the ass is a shove in the right direction or whatever song i liked so much 2 summers ago........

love ya'll!!!!
