Rusty the Scoob
My JGB tribute band, Don't Let Go, is booked to play an Aftershow for the DSO show in Northampton on Friday 11/18. If you're staying in town or not driving too far, come check us out! The Elevens is a great room with a great sound system, my GD-tribute-band does really well there and it's always a great time! I don't know what the cover will be, $5 or $8 probably. I'm hoping this is DSO-related enough to stay here at least for a while... not that many people seem to look at Other Bands anymore. Anyway, we're one of the rare tribute bands (like DSO) that jams hard and with high energy - check us out for yourself: Facebook Band Page: http://www.facebook.com/JGB.DLG Facebook Event: http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=241486699220674 Give us a listen on the LMA: http://www.archive.org/details/DontLetGo Or watch us on Youtube: http://www.youtube.com/user/dontletgoJGB Say Hello if you make it out, I'm Dan, the bass player! Run Mary
The Youtube clip was really enjoyable. On the day of the 7th game of the World Series I was in Lauderdale, so I thought I'd go the extra 70 miles and see Crazy Fingers. That night I found myself sitting at the bar drinking something delicious from the tap, watching the Cards get it done with no nail biting, waiting to dance to the next tune, and feeling a wonderful contentment. Sensory overload in the best way. I too was one of the people who resisted seeing DSO for a long time. My first show was in 2005, when Barraco was still a "guest," but I had known about them for a while. My resistance was the same as I've heard from others

franknkeene
God bless you energetic people....for me it was 25 years ago when sleep was optional, but I'm thinking of getting some rest before the 4 hour journey to Ithaca and DSO2K the next night. However, I never know.....could be juiced up to stop in for a brew before bed time....never know. Actually, the more I type the more energetic I become thinking about the whole thing. Rusty the Scoob
Thanks guys! I always worry on these rare occasions when I post gig announcements that they'll come across as spammish. I'm the farthest thing from a robot sending out viagra ads, I hope. I'm fired up about this one, just to be in the same town as DSO will be cool. It's a good club, too, my GD tribute band played there on Saturday (11/12/11, at a club called The Elevens. Sooooo close!) and it's always a good time.
