Guest Rob Eaton
The Rocky Mountain Grateful Dead Revue will be playing a rare show at the Boulder Theater in Boulder CO this Friday 8/26/11. We put this band on hiatus a few years back but decided to get together and play some again. show starts at 9pm and is 21+ for those in Colorado. Forum MVP lookyloo Posted August 27, 2011 Forum MVP Report Share Posted August 27, 2011 Sorry didn't keep a list, I'm sure Eaton will have it soon. We really enjoyed ourselves last night. Crowd was thin at first, expected with Nedfest just 15 miles up the canyon with Kimock and Kreutzman, but it picked up as the 1st set progressed. Students are back in town so the crowd age ranged from young to crusty-old. There were even 3 "8th grade girls" give or take, must have been family of some of the staff because it was a 21+ show. They were really enjoying themselves dancing up a storm. They're the next generation to take over for us, lock your Sirius on the Grateful Dead channel when they're in the car!!! Saw some familiar faces and some new ones. There was this 30-something guy there dressed like he just came from the office who was, hummm, how do I say this, "full of energy", yeah you all get my drift. He literally jumped the whole show when he wasn't trying to cozy up to any Sugar Magnolia who got within a few feet of him. They had this new female singer to do the Lisa parts, ahem, I mean Donna parts, musically she was wonderful, eye candy wise.....wow.....a true Hawaiian Goddess. Eaton is on top of his game musically really enjoy when he's turned up in the house mix. Will did a great job with the sound. Edwin the bass player was just thumping it, it was niiiiiccce. Joe just tore up the Terrapin in the 2nd set, turtles are always a treat. Dave on lead guitar did a great job and what can I say about Jake, great work on the drumz.
