Elective set. Phenomenal everything....venue, kind people, and music. A really special day.....

I can't begin to write out the set now but I'll just comment that the let it grow, st stephen, alligator, two souls, viola was everything I needed to hear.

More later.....

They put up some resistance to me going to those shows, so I'm really looking forward to dropping in on some before too long.

We were originally going to play Blow Away but I had a keyboard mishap in the middle of the set so I nixed it. And no Cassidy(that was the other night) I know it all rolls into one!!

Ahha! I knew it! I'll need to take this up with my posse who were quite certain there was....I wasn't about to trust my own memory!

Ya know Lisa, something tells me I was hanging by you and didn't realize it, or wasn't paying attention. I spent quite a bit of time next to Gary and Connie, were you that hot, tall, skinny, girl that I didn't say hi too?

Hey. i just want to say that it was a very joyful day yesterday seeing old friends and reconnecting after so many years and so many roads.

Though i have chosen a different path, i appreciate and cherish the precious moments we created along the way and have been inspired by many of you and, of course, the music.

Hopefully i will continue to see some of you down the road.

Till then, this little boy is moving on...

ha! nope I stay away from the video camera as I'm afraid to knock it over. I was dancing big in the front during the first set and then all the way in the right corner 2nd set. If you get whipped in the face with a bunch of brunette hair that's probably me!

lasting memory from this show..... remember when the train came and they timed the music to it for Alligator just before it slipped to drumz-space-gator? THAT was fun.

we had just had a talk about the stranger on thursday and I learned about the dual name and said ya'll would play it at State Bridge, so thank you for bringing my lesson full circle and WOW just sounded so freaking good!

and thank you, just when Terrapin had started feeling routine in my bones, you guys gave me the moonlight magic I needed to reconnect.

I'm pretty sure one of the favorites for all of State Bridge was Dear prudence.... we spent a lot of the show picking up trash, so we got a great idea of what was getting the crowd off (when we stay in the front, it is easier to feel what the band is feeling and liking) and THAT one really got em going in the first set!

DANCING in the rain. Ok. I've been REALLY lucky and haven't had to dance in the rain since my very first festival in 2008.... and let's face it, I went back to camp for half the show because what did I care about some band I had never seen (think it was Lotus or something).....

every time I have been somewhere to see DSO (or furthur for that matter) and there is rain about, it NEVER falls during the show.

STATE BRIDGE has been hot and sunny every time I've been there.... so we were NOT prepared for the rain.

when it came I wasn't sad at all, though I had been hoping it wouldn't fall. I was very, very grateful. Rain at a show like this where escaping to camp wasn't much of an option and the rain itself was light, really made the show. Its one thing to gather with your friends for magic, it is something else when the magic tears a hole in the clouds so the shower can bring the music through us and into the earth..... really, that was the good stuff, there.

sold out show, spellbound crowd (soooo many people we know from here and across the country in one venue!), and a band that just wouldn't quit having waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too much fun manipulating our soggy heads definitely made this one of the most enjoyable shows I've attended!!!!!!!!
