Advisory Board Herdygerdy Posted July 26, 2011 Advisory Board Report Share Posted July 26, 2011 and don't forget the iodine! I second that emotion.... Don't want to have Eaton coming home with a third eye, or Barraco come home with a lion's tail, or even Lisa come home with 5 extra big toes... Had that earthquake not happened, I'd be soooo bummed I couldn't attend the Japan thing, but since the shit hit the fan, I'm glad I couldn't make it

Band Member robbok3 Posted August 2, 2011 Band Member Report Share Posted August 2, 2011 What an amazing time!! I can't begin to express how much fun we had. Two days of non-stop touring around Tokyo. I must have walked 30 miles. Special thanks to Nobi-Won for taking Rob B, Nick and myself around Tokyo. It really added to the trip. Just a few highlights: Booze Cruise around Tokyo Bay-Early morning fish market w Bryan=the BEST freshest sushi I have ever eaten-Dinner with a local showing us the way-the best Japanese Beatles band ever, the Parrots-the Meiji shrine (thanks for showing us the way, Nob) the lowlight: Getting back to Tokyo with a few hours before I needed to be at the airport, schlepping all the way across the city only to find that the hands on Taiko drum museum is closed on Mondays. It may have been the only moment that I stopped smiling the entire trip. As for the festival, the Japanese certainly know how to do it. there was an energy flowing there that I can't even describe. It was the greatest natural high I have ever experienced (aside from the birth of Levi). The fans were so happy, polite, and energetic. The staff and crew were exceptional and the party was still going at 330 am on SUNDAY! I can only hope we get to go back to do a tour and bring some of our American fans with us. PEACE
Forum MVP VincentPuleo Posted August 2, 2011 Forum MVP Report Share Posted August 2, 2011 That sounds amazing Rob... I have family that are Japanese and can completely understand how the way in which the festival was run may have been superior to American festivals. They definitely know how to do things in Japan. Please go back!
