I would love one more from Jerry !!! I just wonder what kind of shape I'd be in when the song was over :( ...

" Standing On The Moon "

Sorry about the ending on this one , it cuts off rather abruptly :( ...

Solo Acoustic China Doll...Like he did at the Capitol Theater in Jersey...

BTW if anyone does NOT have this disc..you need to get it right away...the show is simply perfect in its imperfection in my opinion..

Noteworthy in that I believe it may have been Garcia only solo acoustic gig (I could be wrong)

It the favorite piece of music I have in my entire collection and that is saying alot...

Interesting question, especially if you realize that, in some way, our answer defines us.

It's the kind of question where the answer comes to you in less than 10 seconds of thought. It's that implicit thing. If it takes much longer then you probably don't have one...but many.

It's a hard one but for me, if I had one song to pick that would have to last me the rest of my life, I would have to pick the one that did things, powerful things, to both my brain and my body, every single time I heard it.

To Lay Me Down

For just one song.... well, my head says Bird Song, but by heart is screaming Stella Blue !!! However, if I reflect on this question for much longer, I'm bound to be lost in anguish at having to narrow it down to only one song... it's that hard, and there are so many deserving ones

So true, for so many questions, in so many ways, on So Many Roads...

Jon says a 23 min '74 style Eyes...... first he said Wharf Rat, then changed his mind as he thought on it a few seconds.

I'd say, at the moment, after the other night at State Bridge when Jerry and the moon sang me China Doll, that it would have to be that.... but I guess I already got that..... soooooo.......... ummmmmmm........... Comes A MOTHERFREAKIN' Time!!!!!! EVERY time! THAT is THE song. (with the original lyrics about the words in an angry stream)

or, for us both to witness together, something like the '87 anaheim Stella, as that is the specific version that we fell in love to on the porch and what we kinda mean when we say we would wanna hear Stella..........

what an awesome topic!

For me...an other worldy Days Between...would seem appropriate...

All the songs mentioned here would be sweet to hear, just one more time......

But if I could only choose one , I'd pick ......

Wharf Rat

Peace,

Rob

Great call...completely underated...

Ducats...I'm not getting what's going on here.

Is it your intent to make people feel uncomfortable?

Could you please cut it out?

You don't have to come here if you think it's lame.

so true, this is probably the most intriguing topic in months....
