Forum MVP Mango Posted June 6, 2011 Forum MVP Report Share Posted June 6, 2011 Does anyone know if dso will play two sets? Probably not going to drive 6 1/2 hours for one set...but quite possibly for two
Forum MVP Tom Banjo Posted June 6, 2011 Forum MVP Report Share Posted June 6, 2011 My guess would be full show elective. Slightly shorter feeling elective.

Forum MVP Mango Posted June 6, 2011 Author Forum MVP Report Share Posted June 6, 2011 SHIT HOLE Yes Buffalo isn't the nicest of places... well now that throws a wrinkle in it... so here is what you do... sh*t or give off the pot... translation = make your mind up to go or not go to the show without how many sets being played weighing in at all on your decision... because just asking the question about the number of sets already shows doubt on your part.... Dude, fuck off. I was looking for helpful response not your meaningless babble that seems to come out non-stop. Get a fucking life.

Forum MVP August West Posted June 6, 2011 Forum MVP Report Share Posted June 6, 2011 This show is out doors and there is an opening band. It will be a 2.5 hour set! I figured as much. I saw that Soulive was scheduled for 6:00 EST. and DSO for 8:30. The site said music till 11:00, I had discussed that with Aaron, so thats why he was just looking for more info. It's a real long drive for us.......so we just wanted to know what was up, and if the venue information was correct. Thanks Eaton.....much appreciated. BTW......heard you on Sirius. Great job! Re-playing this morning 1:00 AM EST. if anyone is interested.

Forum MVP anddave Posted June 6, 2011 Forum MVP Report Share Posted June 6, 2011 Just another reason why Harry Shearer says "...leave the satire to the pros, babe!" If I may paraphrase Matt, Those 2.5 hour sets can cover a lot ground. Don't let the set length dissuade you.

Forum MVP Teacher Matt Posted June 7, 2011 Forum MVP Report Share Posted June 7, 2011 I am being teamed up on ... what should I do ? ... I may need therapy... now wait one minute.. I don't need those drastic measures just quite yet since being a teacher and today is the last day of school and I got the next 2 1/2 months off of work for summer vacation maybe I will drive 6.5 hours to a show... now if you are saying that your sarcasm is funny because it is not funny ... then yes... and I will consider it a victory for myself if said person does drive 6.5 hours to the show...also a victory and if he does not then said person will have this day torture him for eternity asking if he should have gone to the show since the music played in that 2.5 hours will be sick, sick, sick.. ... so a win win for me... not a bad situation.... no therapy needed ... just summertime

Mr_Charlie
SHIT HOLE Steve why do you have start bustin on Buffalo? What did we ever do to you my brother? Listen this is a brand new outdoor venue right on the harbor, you all will love it. Summertime is great here in the queen city, and anyone that has caught DSO last few shows at the Towne knows that the band always bring it here. As a added bonus Sonic Garden a local GD cover band 11pm at DBGBS after DSO. Check them out http://www.facebook.com/sonicgardenWNY?sk=info. They are not one the level of DSO but then again nether is Furthur. So I say make the trip you wont be disappointed. Hope to see you all there and if not catch you at gratefulfest. I appreciate you defending Buffalo, but I stand by my statement... i visited in November 0f 09 with some other folks from the board and I was not impressed, sure it's better in the summer...there's a fellow board member that is obsessed with the erie canal who can attest to the misery associated with that trip.... I cannot defend Buffalo in the Winter cause it really does suck , unless your into winter sports. But this Rocks the Harbor show will be off the hook and worth the trip. Lots of good camping in the area and if you get in on wednsday you can see MOE for free up at artpark, catch DSO friday for $10 then Elvis Costello at he same venue on saturday for only $10. Then on teusday Peter Frampton is doing Frampton comes alive at artpark for free. Mix in a trip to Niagara Falls and you got yourself a nice little vacation.Plus its only a 3 1/2 hour drive to the ledges from here so you can get to nlqp on tuesday and beat the crowds. and so does BUFFALO

Forum MVP Teacher Matt Posted June 8, 2011 Forum MVP Report Share Posted June 8, 2011 Teacher Honda Civic, 2 eight balls, and a hooker.. or was it 2 hookers and an eight ball ?? ... hell lets just make it 2 of each hit the road like Bix says - Vegas to Buffalo... but the Teacher Honda Civic does not go past the 60mph anymore (extending her life) .. so if I want to make it to Buffalo by the 24th of June ... I better leave like yesterday.. cuz you know them there hookers are going to slow me up.... but wait them 8 balls will speed me back up... maybe I will give the Teacher Honda Civic a snapper or two ...
