jerseyboys
Thank you to DSO for an amazing tour. The music is so good right now, I feel blessed to be a part of it. I'll take that ride again for sure Me too !!! I got to see a five night run from the Irving Plaza4'29'70 Anniverysary to the LI gig .. and was blown away from the first to last note i saw .. simply amazing !!! yeahh! So, I just though I'd say a little something more, in line with Mangosteen .. Rob K, and Dino .. You guys have been like unsung heroes ii i .. I feel like in this band, not that you've gone unreckonized .. but you guys so modestly rage back there and really carry on with so much responsibility rhythmically and technically .. it's a real wonder to watch and hear .. and I'd also say about GD drums is that when I first started listening to this music when I was a teen one of the very first things I noticed about the music was the drums .. I didn't know much about music technically or in terms of percussion or anything .. but I think I recognized some kind of big band feel .. and to me it reminded me a lot of this like circus band of no particular name or fame that plays in the circus carnival grounds at night where everyone would gather and whirl and the drums just simply and plainly laid out these steps, and would whirl it up, like these time patterns, and i thought it was so awesome and that's what I first started to learn and memorize .. so, without a second step of doubt .. you guys are like the front thing that I'm always listening to and appreciating and I've been one to enjoy drums and space like any other aspect of the show .. so .. yea .. Rob B You rock man! After Scott passed away, it was obviously a time of enormous uncertainty and reconsideration .. and you stepped in and filled in with such grace and charisma, charm and confidence .. boy man .. you've got to rank up there with the best of the them .. and your lucid experience shows every time I see you play, simply amazing and a treasure to behold! Lisa Lisa, you've always been one of my favorite favorite people in the jam band scene and I am always so stoked when I see you on the stage, you .. like your mates .. bring so much grace and charisma, charm and beauty to this marvelous stage of sound .. I seriously feel uplifetedd just by your presence, every time, you're amazing and I've never seen or know anything remotely like you .. you Rock! Rob E Like Bobby, you've always been a curious fellow (well, in my mind's eye and watching you perform has really given me just the most ridiculous and may I say enlightening .. insights into the nature of this music .. I cannot begin to tell you how much I have learned about music from watching you play guitar .. I sound like a broken record .. but I am always so stoked about seeing your show .. it's just awesome .. and like Mangosteen said .. it's just an unexplained blessing but good fortune none the less to watch and hear your talents giving life to this incredible, and sacred vault of music .. thank you so much man! Jeff What can ya say man? Like Garcia, you play with the wisdom as though you've been personally down all those roads you mention in the songs .. wow .. talk about blown away .. unreal .. ! I saw you with the Tricksters .. a couple times in college .. i remember one night specifically in Royal Oak,MI when I was in school (mid 90's) .. and more recently at Mexcali .. Like Rob B, and I'm sure this is no coincidence .. your stepping up in this band is one of the greatest performances I've had the pleasure of seeing .. nothing short of spectacular .. and I had faith in you from the moment you got the call .. this was gonna be one hell of a ride .. awesome man .. most if not everything I've said earlier applies to you too .. particularly in terms of what I've been able to learn about music from listening to you play .. it's all so priceless to me .. if I had more money .. I'd see a lot more shows .. ! And last but haha hehe most certainly and definitely not least .. Kevin way to up the ante bud .. I can't believe what you have pulled off on bass this tour .. i've enjoyed your musicianship .. again .. quite like the others .. in every show and every note I've seen .. but this tour .. for whatever the signs may seem to say .. was truly special .. and I think the amped up and crytal bass playing was a big part of it !!! I've seen you guys a bunch of tours throughout the years .. and obviously they're all special .. believe me! but like the others seem to also allude .. it's just brought us fans so much joy and pleasure and promise to see how we've all grown through this music .. and I thought your playing exemplified that particularly well .. this tour! At times, I feel I've said too much .. and other times. I feel I could say nothing at all. What I can say, though, is that DSO has given me the privilege and honor of seeing this music performed live, and taken all together, the experience has allowed me to reach a really wonderful new level of my life, the level of NOW! and I've always just wanted to thank you, I've wouldn;t have reached for it without you! My Best Regards, Brian and ps .. the crew never seems to get mentioned enough .. but you all have earned the total respect of this fan .. dso has been a class act and a leader in this crazy wacky jam band circuit. the TORCH IS YOURS TO HOLD HIGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
