Forum MVP August West Posted May 18, 2011 Forum MVP Report Share Posted May 18, 2011 I absoulutely LOVED that show last night!!! It made the 2 hour journey home in the fog, and the rain well worthwhile. High Time, Mission, a never ending, insanely psychedelic Cryptical> Other One> Cryptical to open the 2nd set, and a China Doll, and then a mesmerizing Viola to top things off. RU fucking kidding me or what? Sometimes these early week shows in off beat places, turn out to be some of the best. Stroudsberg is a very chill town, and the Sherman is a great venue (except for the slanted floors). I actually made it into work today..... I think I'll close my office door and take a nap. Nitey nite.

Forum MVP John A Posted May 18, 2011 Forum MVP Report Share Posted May 18, 2011 Hmmm.....a little heavy on Bobby in that second set for my tastes. As always though, it's the music that matters and it's tough to beat an extended tour de force reading of That's It For The Other One.
Forum MVP chuckvegas Posted May 18, 2011 Forum MVP Report Share Posted May 18, 2011 Let me thank again the crew who sent me real-time updates, and especially the set-break phone call. I was so glad to be reminded by Sleepy-head how fuckin incredible the 1st set High Times and Mission was! Rubbing salt in the wounds in the best possible way! This has whetted the appetite for this weekend...

Nitey nite. This also expresses my experience!, plus: It was delightful to be in a large 'field' interracting with all of us. Thanks for doing the filming Steve! I really enjoyed the musical twists and turns during Easy Wind, Ramble On Rose, the Didgeridoo/drum sequence, and Lost Sailor. Really relaxed, open night, with great conversation before the show and during the set break.

It is always a great way to start my day with a good dose of DSO. If I couldn't be at the show, at least I can see some terrific samples of it. I am very grateful!!
