Forum MVP Tea Posted May 5, 2011 Forum MVP Report Share Posted May 5, 2011 "I mourn the loss of thousands of precious lives, but I will not rejoice in the death of one, not even an enemy. Of course, you couldn't copy and paste before but it's still pretty great! Dr. King was not wrong, he just didn't have Barack Obama's job.
Forum MVP chuckvegas Posted May 5, 2011 Forum MVP Report Share Posted May 5, 2011 I believe that sometimes the forces of light and love have to take stern measures to protect both themselves and those unable to protect themselves from the darkness and hate. Advisory Board Herdygerdy Posted May 6, 2011 Advisory Board Report Share Posted May 6, 2011 after thousands of years of killing each other, we still have not figured out how to live together in peace and likely never will. That is mainly because of religion... As my beloved departed most favorite comedian, George Carlin, said.. "95% of all wars in the entire world has been because of religion... You're God has a bigger dick then my God? Bomb them!!" What I do believe in is taking scumbags like Bin Laden and locking them in a windowless concrete bunker to live out their lives in dark, cold misery. Killing him let him off the hook. Agreed to that statement, but as for Bin Laden himself, I am extremely happy that the motherfucker was killed... and I hope they put a pork chop in his mouth before they buried him in the ocean... Fuck him!! I, for one, would not be real thrilled about my tax dollars going to keep this man alive and healthy for the rest of his natural life and then some. Crude as it may be to say, two bullets were a lot cheaper. AR-15 - $1700 2 rounds of .223 ammo - $1.75 Knowing that fucking asshole who masterminded the horrific killing of over 3000 American's on 9/11 is fucking DEAD - PRICELESS!!! deadfan
I must admit I am glad that Bin Laden is dead. I also think Obama may win reelection based on this fact alone. I, however, fear for the worst. I am not well read enough on the subject to know the facts, but I know that in the movie braveheart. William Wallace was killed and killing the figure head of the movement did the exact opposite of what was wanted. I fear the movement is much bigger than Bin Laden. The death of there most well known leader may only enrage them to fight harder and lead to new recruits. I can not applaud the murder of even the most hated of all terrorist. I hope someday man reaches a point where enough people have died at the hands of man and we stop killing one another once and for all. I know I am naive and this dream will not be achieved in my lifetime or probably ever in the history of man. The message of the most beloved of all religious leaders, including Christ, have been lost on the minds and hearts of men. I do not believe that his death in anyway furthers peace. I do feel in some way justice was served. The man was truly evil and did not deserve the air in his lungs. I just hope positive things are the outcome of the death of this truly evil man. God bless the USA and the people and families of those victimized by the evil actions of the now deceased. God bless all mankind. Greg, this was tough for me to post. I know I should be screaming USA and hooray. Today certainly was a good day for America. You are absolutely correct in thinking this way...In fact, Braveheart is NOT historically accurate even though it appears that is is in the movie. The story of Braveheart as the movie depicts is based on the already-disproven writings of a blind historian named Blind-Man Harry who wrote about the events surrounding William Wallaces life, more than a century after it happened...in other words, he was not a primary witness. But there is no doubt that killing this man (and then displaying his torn body all over England) had the opposite effect ...there was of course a more famous event that led to a much bigger movement - one that affected all parts of th world and is still one of the greatest things to shape the current world...a different leader of a different cult was killed by society's lead government...That of course was JESUS CHRIST and he is still having so much of an effect on this world and millions of people still believe in this fairy tale. For right now though, I would try to keep an eye out for what might be a retaliation against us...they'.ve already sucessfully retaliated agains Pakistan for allowing the US to have access to Bin Laden. With that said, ding dong the witch is dead and I am grateful for it. "All we are askiing, is give PEACE a try!"
