RW
Robbie checking in...rarely post on this thing, but today seemed like a good day to stop by. SPL1969, Hard to believe it's been 6 years. Seems just like yesterday we were sitting in the hotel room getting ready to order room service. Not a day goes by that you don't cross my mind. Wanted to let you know that I still work on your gear, A LOT! Joel ended up buying your B3 and Leslie that you had at your house. It's been out on the road for over 5 years and has had it's fair share of issues...but, she's still kicking. Thank you for everything you taught me. Thank you for constantly pushing me to be a better person (both professionally and personally). Thank you for the FUCKING BEST late night bus sandwich's EVER! Who knew you could make a gourmet sandwich with a microwave and toaster??? Thanks for introducing me to all of these crazy people (you know who you are donkeys!) that are now life long friends. Basically, THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING and it was a honor to call you friend. Love ya brother and you are missed more than you will ever know. r-dub-u
Guest Lisacat
I came to the playground shortly after Scott had passed. I know he means so much to so many friends and integral in the history of this band. SO even though I never around for his time in the band, I am grateful for all he did and for the person he was. RIP Scott.

Forum MVP chuckvegas Posted April 25, 2011 Forum MVP Report Share Posted April 25, 2011 Amen to the above. He was one of the first members of the band that talked to me at any length, and made me feel welcome. As noted, his grin from behind the keys was a beacon. I wanted to see those shows at Falls Church but evil fate intervened, as it too often does (I think that is called "life"). His funeral show was a turning point for me. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart.
Forum MVP 2muchfun Posted April 25, 2011 Forum MVP Report Share Posted April 25, 2011 As with Chuck above, Scott was the first bandmember to speak with me regularly and even some back and forth emails...I too miss him dearly
Forum MVP Tom Banjo Posted April 25, 2011 Forum MVP Report Share Posted April 25, 2011 Scott was only around for my first couple DSO shows. I never met him or had a personal relationship with him like so many on here have, but I am forever grateful for the dreamed he envisioned. 6 years later I am still enjoying the ride. You are missed. Forum MVP FunkyBass13 Posted April 26, 2011 Forum MVP Report Share Posted April 26, 2011 Like Rick, Scott was only around for my first 7-8 shows. But one thing I can tell you, the first time he started singing Mr. Fantasy, it was EVERY BIT the jaw-dropping moment as the first time I heard JK sing. Standing in the middle of the Fillmore just going "you've got to be fucking kidding me". I've only missed 3 shows in my area since '99. Enough said....... Forum MVP anddave Posted April 27, 2011 Forum MVP Report Share Posted April 27, 2011 Thanks for the beautiful photo Looky. When that gallery randomizer at the top pops up a Scott photo it's always cool but this one was extra cool. Only took like 40 refrehes to find it.
