Forum MVP Mango Posted April 9, 2011 Forum MVP Report Share Posted April 9, 2011 One drummer, piano/organ, elective set. Demolition Dance Derby First set started like a 73-74 until they went into Sitting In Limbo. Which was amazing. Following that was some Lisa action, You Ain't Women Enough. Here Comes Sunshine with sick jam. Second set simply off the hook. Beyond the pale. Lets see.... ....Notably a huge 74-style Eyes>Weather Report Suite>To Lay Me Down, Alligator>NFA>GDTRFB>NFA encore: Rockin Pneumonia and the Boogy Woogy Flu What else can I say? TJed
One drummer elective, rare indeed, although not unprecedented, I believe, great looking show! (previous 1 drummer elective in Ridgefield, CT, right???)
SeanAY
Do any East Coasters remember the "Rockin' Pneumonia" from the Penn State show last July? The one where Jeff essentially shamed Kevin Rosen into laying down a big bass solo? It was a really special moment! Like this show here, DSO did a '74 era "Eyes" and Kevin absolutely KILLED it in the post-verse jam. I thought it was a cool moment of recognition, like Jeff saying, "YOU be the rock star now!" Forum MVP chuckvegas Posted April 9, 2011 Forum MVP Report Share Posted April 9, 2011 Also one drummer original at the much loved, often over-looked Hilton Head SC show. Excellent Little Schoolgirl rap, superlatives fail to do the Eyes justice, and the Silver Threads is always a treat. Thank you.

Forum MVP Teacher Matt Posted April 9, 2011 Forum MVP Report Share Posted April 9, 2011 I never really comment on set lists because the beauty of them is what The Grateful Dead did with them and now what Dark Star Orchestra does with them... but in this case I will say the following: But goodness gracious whoever dreamed up that mixture listed above should be hugged, kissed, covered in peanut butter and licked from head to toe ! .. and then to musicians who "orchestrated" that masterpiece.. same goes for you except you shall be dipped in chocolate sauce .. Guest Lisacat
One of the best of tour for sure, but my god this whole tour has been full of yumminess. They had me fooled for a while thinking it was one drummer recreation then they went into sitting in limbo. Huge dance party. Got really intense in the pit during the first set. Everyone was colliding and bouncing off each other. I actually felt beat up at setbreak but so worth it! Then the second set started off a little tight but we got it going and eventually the whole crew up front again. Total ladies night...love dancing with my beautiful friends. The second set was sublime. schoolgirl got down and dirty then into a most angelic eyes. Serious synergy on the floor at this point. I love being able to let go let the hair fly and not worry about people getting. uptight. 1 creeper on the floor got a beer tossed by me though (total accident but it seemed to work). Serves him right for pushing Char off the speaker then leaning on it staring at all the girls. Got him out of there quickly after his beer flew in the air. Mopping the floor up with my socks was definitely worth getting him out. I got so many tunes I wanted to hear and dancing with my favorite dancing crew made for one special night.
