Forum MVP gr8fulpair Posted April 6, 2011 Forum MVP Report Share Posted April 6, 2011 Seems in the early days of the Archive, I'd find a show, click to stream it, and listen away for hours. Then, some time ago they added this little "player" box in the upper right corner of the screen where the songs are listed and you click on them to listen. This is all fine and works great EXCEPT that it only plays one song and stops. Is there a setting for this somewhere or is it just different now? Going back to the box to click the next song kills my momentum...... Any help would be appreciated.... or if it's bringing you down too, say so. SeanAY
Ugh, I know exactly what you're talking about. I haven't found any way around this yet, but it's really pissing me off. Totally killed the flow of a good '80 show I had on while working today. I typically work at two computers, and I don't sit there and watch the stream as it winds down...how am I supposed to get into a groove when every jam gets interrupted? Octal
There is an option to "go back to default player," right? Or do I miss remember? I stopped using the archive in replace of downloading torrents of live shows.
Run Mary
If you hit the Play button without selecting any song, even the first, it will play all the way through. Once you select a song, even if you use the Next or Previous buttons, you're stuck in singles mode. Alternately, you can click on the stream link of your choice on the left. A pop-up player (mine defaults to Windows Media Player) will appear and you can then manipulate the songs all you want and it will still play continuously. Forum MVP GratefulFred Posted April 7, 2011 Forum MVP Report Share Posted April 7, 2011 Thank'y!! I quit streaming off the archive for this very reason. So, god forbid, if you wanted to skip a track, would it go back to playing one track at a time if you use the ff button, or is that only if you click a song? Mary of the Camp Grounds, aka 'Run Mary' is very good at computer solutions, a wonderful lady and a good friend. I'm looking forward to Grateful Fest where I usually find her tucked away in her tent porch sipping wine. Peace and Love, Doc
