San Francisco just may have its first snow in 35 years.....

And here I thought I'd have my first winter without seeing snowflakes!

Awesome blanket of snow last Saturday on Mt. Tam. It was still there Sunday morning when the sun came out. I took the mountain bike up there but set out way too late. By 1pm there were just small, insignificant patches. Guess that stuff about the early bird getting the worm was no joke.

First snow in 35 years is technichally not correct. Unless it has to be measurable on the ground. It snowed in '99, I believe. Didn't stick, but it was dusting for a solid 15 minutes or so. Watching the people stare in disbelief is the best part.

If it does snow, definitely will be some of the best people watching time EVER.

I think that was the caveat that it has to be measurable....

I wish it was it was predicted for tomorrow night and not tonight as I'll be downtown Santa Cruz until about 4 AM and I'm sure it would a scene! I do understand why they get a bit concerned if anything measurable happens in San Francisco....cars parked on the hills may not stay put.

Its so funny coming from the east coast and seeing folks out here walking around in their long wool coats, hats, gloves, scarves and its 50 degrees outside. But I'm sure I'll wimp out after a few years and then I'll be joining the flocks of thin-skinned folks losing their minds when it dips below 45 degrees.
