Setlist Question

Ah yes, the famous Alligator> Goin' Down the Road> Rain & Snow. That was one of the first board tapes I owned...had it on reel to reel! Yup, reel to reel. Hmm..I wonder what ever happened to that? Anyway, fun to think about those old memories and even more fun to think about DSO recreating...I'm still basking in so many "close to home" shows in May, including Acoustic 40 minutes from home! Lisacat, I really like Hampton also, but my biggest problem with it is the hit or miss sound. The Casino Ballroom really needs to be full to sound good and lately(unfortunately), that has not been the case. Yet, how can you not love walking the beach before the show and yes, a great dance floor. Overall, I'm partial to Higher Ground.

4/29 at the Irving Plaza. Recreating 4/29/71... the last Fillmore East show the boys played. I won't post the setlist for you freaks who don't know it but is should be a rowdy time.

Monster show. Part of the ladies and gentleman release. Dark Hallow, 2nd that emotion, and bill graham rap come to mind to name a few stand outs. More, more, more. I will be there.

Wow there playing one heck of a show. Plus a GA show always equals good vibes and a great NY crowd!

Also looking forward to the March 5 show in Tarrytown!

I think GA helps, but I would not call NYC a good crowd. Always well-attended, but lots of talkers, standers, and non-dancers. Just my opinion. I will still be there hanging with my NYC friends. It will be great.

I'll agree with you on that. Prob the best crowd I seen at a DSO show was in Northampton, MA late sept-early oct 2010. Good people good vibes and cool town!

.... Northampton, MA...... Good people good vibes and cool town!

Without a doubt, Northampton is a cool place.

Many years ago while following David Crosby's band, CPR, I declared that I wanted to retire from engineering and teach school in the collage there.

Peace and Love,

Doc

Sweet, the vibes from this town really showed true in the amazing 77 show DSO played! Can't wait to go back! CPR was a great lineup wish they were still doing it. Got to see Jeff Peaver not to long ago. He was playing bass but was still sick.

Northampton is such a fun place to hang out, and I did so many times while attending Hampshire College in nearby Amherst back in the early 80's. Back then, there were at least three great used record stores there, which drew me in on a regular basis. I never did see a show in the town, but I can only imagine that the crowds are generally relaxed and very into the music at the Calvin, the Iron Horse, or any other venue there.

On a side note, there is a fantastic ice cream parlor in Northampton by the name of "Herrell's", which has been there for eons. If you like chocolate, they have the most amazing flavor called "chocolate pudding". I have never tasted another ice cream like it... it is so dark and rich... highly recommended !!!
