Guest Lisacat
as per usual, when a festival is first listed on the schedule page it shows all dates. The band won't be playing 4 nights in a row at Wakarusa.... According to Jambase, it is listed as June 2. But that could be wrong too....... Forum MVP jfolks Posted January 11, 2011 Forum MVP Report Share Posted January 11, 2011 as a waka veteran, i'll add that dso will probably play two different shows. one of the coolest things of wakarusa, is they traditionally give each band two shows (on different days), so people don't have to miss a band entirely due to schedule conflicts glad to see dso on the bill! Forum MVP GratefulFred Posted January 11, 2011 Forum MVP Report Share Posted January 11, 2011 The move to Mulberry Mountain (amongst other changes) totally saved Wakarusa. It has become one of my very favorite festivals. I highly recommend it!

If you go get ready for lots of sun, ticks, and chiggers. Count me out, sorry Kansas...

Forum MVP Tom Banjo Posted January 14, 2011 Forum MVP Report Share Posted January 14, 2011 I wouldn't do this. Too many bands playing major time slots - headlining or late night - that I simply don't want to see or actually refuse to see again. I'm happy for DSO and I think Wakarusa will give them a great chance to expand their fanbase. I would argue for a true music fan, deadhead or not, DSO is going to provide the best show of this festival. MMJ, Bassnecter, and Thievery just don't do it for me. Additionally, I CAN'T stand Franti. Once again, I think this will be good a chance for DSO to expand their fanbase and play to some people that are not regulars at their shows. Plus, the few regulars that show up. Guest njduke
Very excited DSO will be at Wakarusa. While I'm not a huge fan of the bigger names on the list (MMJ, thievery), I'll be happy to catch umphreys, cornmeal and lotus. It's a great festival.. but def hopin DSO will be at all good and they pack a better lineup! Wakarusa 2011 Lineup, Tickets
