topher44
Glad you could be with your Mom during her time of passing, and I hope she understood what a special son you are, master of the keys, soulful of voice, and kind in spirit. We are as blessed to have you in the DSO family, as she was to have you in the Barraco clan. I can't wait to see you guys in Montclair next week. See you then !!! Guest jazz-man
Rob, my Dad passed away in October at 90 years old and the hurt is as fresh as the first time I got the message. I wasn't with him but I had visited 2 months before and that was a HUGE comfort because he was pretty good when I visited. His passing and my loss is ever with me, like a shadow just behind me. Little things set me off emotionally. My Mom is 86 and doing okay healthwise. We always thought she'd go first and Dad later because he was the stronger one. Those broken hips do in a lot of elderly folks. I have great memories and words from my Dad though. I can hear his voice inside. always. And when I hug my brother or older son it feels just like Dad so that's helpful. (((Rob's family)))
